Description:

The paper napkin swap is born from an idea (and I've not seen one of these particular swaps around at the moment), to use paper napkins to produce paper-art and crafts.

THIS SWAP IS SENDER'S CHOICE...The only say receivers have in this swap is if they want to receive advertising napkins or not. If the sender cannot get advertising napkins, this does not mean you can rate 3 or 1 because they didn't send it to you.

We use all sorts of paper in our crafts...card stock, scrapbooking paper, decoupage paper, tissue paper, crepe paper...why not paper napkins?

You will be sending at least 3 different paper napkins to 2 partners. That's a total of six (6) paper napkins all together. They MUST be of different designs. NO plain colours allowed, they must have a design on them. NO plain white napkins. NO advertising napkins (such as napkins that have McDonalds advertising or the like, unless you ASK your swap partner in advance - and they say it's ok).

You may want to package the paper napkins in a plastic baggie to protect from the elements and over zealous postal workers.

Newbies welcome, but please have at least one snail mail swap under your belt and don't flake. I will angel any swaps flaked on, and coming from Australia, it can get expensive...so don't flake.

If there are any questions or comments, please feel free to email me, or comment below.

Hi!

I love paper napkins, I collect them so I have many of them with many beautiful designs, but I'm more interested in the advertising kind of napkin - not really McDonald's but from restaurants, bars, pubs, cafés, etc. I have some from Japan, NZ, USA, Italy, Argentina... but I'd love to have more!

So I would really appreciate if instead of napkins with design my parters could send me napkins with advertising. Of course I will not send the ones with advertising - unles required - but the ones with beautiful designs.

Is this okay?

I did this swap before and received lots of interesting napkins to use in the work. It was a fun swap. Good luck.

Inconcienciazul...that's fine...you might want to put a note in your profile just for this swap to let your partners know that advertising paper napkins are okay to send to you. Welcome to the swap :)

DebP...cool! I hope that this swap is as successful as the one you were in before.

Hi, I had same kind of swap in summer and I got lots of lovely napkins :). My wishlist for this swap, the themes and designs I would love to receive are: Christmas, birds, butterflies, cats, smallish flowers, teddybears, anything related to food or fashion

garneteve please make it clear if you can put up a wish list cos alot of swappers are put off by that 'cos they dont have what people list.

I am hesitating for the same reason.

Ok, I've added a comment to the swap itself, that no wish-lists are allowed. This is sender's choice. The only thing that receivers are allowed to ask, is that it's advertising or not...and that's to be done in your profile, not here.

Thank you garneteve I had already signed up but was having second thoughts.

my collection is big enough that I can accomodate a few requests from my partner as guidelines, but I usually go off the profile in making my choices. By the same token, I'm open to anything :) I've rarely been disappointed in these types of swaps :)
