Description:

This was taken from Somerset Holidays & Celebrations 2008.

You need:

  • a spoon

  • a vintage image

  • glitter

  • ribbon or seam binding

Take a vintage spoon (they are easy to find at thrift stores, or estate sales.) and a vintage image. you can add cardstock to the image to make it less flimsy and then attach it to the spoon. (in the article it says she likes to bend the spoon part up a bit but you can leave it as well). After you have attached the image onto the spoon make a small banner to be placed under the image (as if the banner is being held)

Please remember not everyone celebrates every holiday so ask your partner if you plan to make anything specific to a particular holiday (Christmas) etc etc.

After you have attached the banner Glitter from the base of the spoon to the base of the banner (or whatever works best for your sparkle spoon) Finally attach ribbon or seam binding to the spoon so your partner can hang it up and display it anywhere :)

*In case I don't make sense I uploaded a picture of the article to my flickr

Let me know if I need to change sign up dates/deadlines!
