I'm a woman of a 'certain' age, have the best husband in the world, Ken; 4 grown children, 9 grand children and the best Sheltie in the world, Azure. We live in an old Victorian near a college campus, walk nearly every day, laugh often and sing off key. Oh, and I have RA.

We moved to a farm in the early seventies and raised our children there along with goats, sheep, cows, chickens, ducks, geese, rabbits, pigs and huge vegetable and flower gardens.

MUSIC

I love rock and roll, both 50s and 60s; Enya; old jazz; some techno. I like the words to mean something even if I don't know exactly what it is. Since Ken and I have different tastes in music, we listen to all kinds.

BOOKS

I read every day and listen to books on tape in my studio. Novels before sleeping, especially mysteries and during the day heavier stuff, currently The Blank Slate by Steven Pinker.

MOVIES

I like action and comedic movies including, but not limited to; Romancing the Stone, Pretty Woman, Star Wars, Die Hard, Speed, Nos 1&3 of the Indiana Jones series, Hunt for Red October, The Long Kiss Goodnight, Riverdance and more!

THE TUBE

I don't watch much TV but do not like to miss The Closer and Boston Legal. Also watch Monk occasionally, biography as well as nature and the history channel.

ARTSY FARTSY

I have done or am now doing art quilts, gardening, bookmaking, knitting, crochet, tag art, zines, photo journaling, altered anything, photography, beading, collage, shrines, sun printing ... the list goes on and on.

I like all colors, but prefer the cool side of the spectrum, violets, blues and greens. In pastels I like icy pinks and yellows and other colors that are pure, not grayed. I also like some hot pinks and oranges, especially together, and that really acidy green.

I like vintage, quirky; I don't do cute.

THINGS I LIKE

Vintage linens, doilies and kitchen utensils (anything actually, I have a large handkerchief collection); paper, especially old ephemera (ask me about the books I get at library sales); handmade quilts; art dolls; dogs; natural fibers; family; fabric postcards; the Caribbean; vintage seaside/beach and women pictures; old photographs; nature, especially relating to seasons and the sky ... love thunderstorms; shells; mermaids; skulls, both animal and human.

DISLIKES Sweets; things that smell; most sports; organized religion; cute anything; house cleaning, I do it, I just don't like it; the desert; angels; patriotic and religious themes; clowns.
