I wish the turn around were quicker.. I'd be afraid I'd forget.

I REALLY enjoy these types of swaps...but I don't sew. At all. Inept. :P Can that be a two parter? I'd love to join... :)

Thanks!

stacirose 02/ 1/2010 #

Or maybe sewing notions...I could use ribbon or buttons for other projects...?

Hello Thanks for your comments on the Scavenger Hunt swap. I'm not sure what you mean by 'a two parter', but if it helps the 'Something to sew' item could be a pattern - downloaded and printed or photocopied, or transfers to embroider. The handmade item could be anything, just as long as it's handmade! Check your partner's profile and do a best fit. Is that helpful?!! Cheerio, Kate

Well...I guess most things are pretty random and can be interpreted very broadly, but sewing is sewing and so your swap assumes that everyone that joins sews or is interested in some aspect of sewing.

Two parter, I meant "sew/sewing notions", that's all. Making it more inclusive.

Thanks, anyway!

I have not figured out how to pm, so I'll leave this here. I am a responsible University student who is just started here at Swap-bot, but have participated in a similar swap project before. If accepted into the swap, I will fulfill my commitment. My only request is that my partner is not from the USA. Thanks!

daniellemarie56 02/18/2010 #

tasarlaskaara, you cannot choose where your partner is/is not from, the partners are generated automatically by swap-bot. it all depends on where the other swappers are from, if there are a lot of people from the USA then you may be matched up with one, it's all luck of the draw. I'm new as well but I have a friend who has been using swap-bot for quite some time now, that's how I know this!

katiewoo 02/19/2010 #

Hello, just to clarify a couple of things, swapbot chooses the partners you are assigned so there's no choice, as daniellemarie has pointed out and I have edited the swap for those swappers who don't sew or are not interested in sewing related items - 'something to sew or make' - could be a card kit, beads for embellishment, papers for creating with. Hope that's helpful and now inclusive for more of you chaps! Kate

katiewoo you are super for trying to please all :)

katiewoo 02/20/2010 #

Thank you dmarie, sometimes it's a tough call but someone's gotta do it!!! ; )

stacirose 02/21/2010 #

Agree with dmarie, you have been a great host and the swap hasn't even started yet! I am VERY excited to join! :)

tasarlaskaara 02/21/2010 #

thanks for clearing that up! It's ok if my partner is from the US...I still want to participate. I simply won't be able to count this swap towards my challenge if that's the case. No biggie, I'll just have to keep swapping!!!
