Description:

Some of you have probably seen my breast cancer tote swap and are wondering if I'm on a kick of some kind. My youngest sister is a breast cancer survivor and it is something that is important to me, and breast cancer awareness month is coming up. Okay, enough, on with the details.

For this swap you will create one ATC, for one partner, of any medium you wish, standard ATC rules apply. The theme is obviously breast cancer. So, yes, you can put pictures of breasts on your card (if this bothers you then please don't sign up). No sticker slapping. You don't need to be an artist but please take some time and put effort into your work. Make it something you would be proud of.

Newbies are welcome with at least five "mailed" swaps and a fully filled out profile. No ones or threes in the last three months (unless you feel you got an unfair rating which I realize could happen. PM and let me know why). A rating of at least 4.5 and no no sends. I check everyones profile.

I am a survivor of breast cancer. The journey to recovery is much like a roller coaster ride. It's a bump in the road; a storm in your life . . . but the sun can shine again! The experience has greatly changed my life . . . in many ways for the better. Now . . . I often roll down the windows and sing! Thank you for coordinating this breast cancer awareness swap.

Please be advised that @FoxRoxSox12 is covering the original artist's information on ATCs and passing them off on her own.

My friend who I have grown up with is currently going thru chemo. Her first dose was 4 days ago. She's had a rough time of it all. Multiple surgeries, her daughter just getting married in between that and the Chemo. My grandmother and great grandmother both passed from breast cancer so this is a close topic for me. This is something that I want to do. Next August I am having a fund raiser for Susan J Coleman and this gives me some ideas Bless those who survived, those who passed and those who love them!

Question....can it be anything pertaining to BCA or does it have to actually say "Breast Cancer Awareness"? I'm watching swap untill I get an answer....thanks!

AutumnRain 08/31/2010 #

institches, no it does not have to say "Breast Cancer Awareness" just anything pertaining to Breast Cancer.

This sounds like such a great swap! I want to do this for my little sister who is also a breast cancer survivor, she has gone through 2 rounds of chemo, several surgerys, radiation and reconstructive surgery. she was only 36 and had 2 small boys- 2 yr old and a 9 mo. old. she has been cancer free for a year!

So many can relate and thank goodness for mammograms! I had a breast biospy back in 2007 which was benign, but the mamm caught it. : )

Wow I just realized that I totally spelled the name wrong for my fund raiser.... It's Susan G. Komen. What a dork I am!

PixieFirefly 09/ 9/2010 #
