Description:

I had this idea for an atc swap yesterday and I have never seen it done so I don't know if anyone would be interested but I think that it will be a lot of fun! The idea is to make a miniature passport atc size. Here's what you have to do:

-You will have three partners, 1 passport each. You will make a total of 3 atc's.

  • The atc must be folded in half so that it can open like a passport book. It must by 3.5X2.5 inches after it is folded.

-Make the cover of your atc look like a passport, you need to include the word passport. Make this from card so that the cover is studier than the pages. If you wish you can include a country name and/or emblem.

  • The inside must be made to look like a passport, so you will need to include a few pages that you can leaf through. You dont need to have too many but a couple would be nice. You can make the passport of yourself if you wish. Or an alter ego/ character/animal but it must have some kind of identity. Include an image of the identity, details etc.

-decorate a page or two showing places they have been, these can be stamped like a real passport.

I will only be accepting ratings of 4.8 and up. If you want to join and you have a lower rating please message me with explanation. You must also have completed at least 10 level 3 swaps. If you are new to swapbot but want to join please post me a link to your work if you have a gallery. I cannot angel for this swap because I have extremely limited time myself so please do not flake. You can start making your atc's as soon as you sign up.

I think this should be a lot of fun. If anyone has any questions just send me a message:)

I think you are supposed to take creative license with your own passport or create one for a character like a TV show or Movie character, an animal, fairy, Travelocity gnome, the Geico Gecko etc. I think if you simply 'copied' your own passport, it could be kinda boring unless you are an awesome world traveller or include more than the basic 'height/weight/hair/eye colour deets'. Make it fun!! For instance, I'm thinking of doing a mermaid with destinations at waterfalls, rivers and Atlantis.

yes, thebragal put it perfectly you can make up a character of your own!

Any hints about "stamping it like a real passport?" i LOVE the idea. and i'd love to make passport-looking stamps, but i'm sure i don't have the time right now for that. any tips? thanks!

Hi Mamasch, I have a few postage cancellation rubber stamps that I was thinking of using. This kind: http://www.nps.gov/oreg/planyourvisit/images/passport.jpg I was going to stamp a few different ones on some pages, just so that the passport looks "travelled". Maybe a stamp that says VISA would be easy to make and could look really affective stamped in bold letters:)

Any of those boring office date stamps set to a few different dates and stamped on different pages might be interesting too!

oh, those are good ideas. thanks!
