Description:

The Victorians loved miniatures of all sorts. They loved tiny curiosities for their cabinets, and little tiny furniture for dollhouses and dioramas, teeny portraits for their lockets, and weensy little bits of lace and beadwork.

For this swap, you will create one very very small, flat, pretty bit of something for your partner. Whatever your specialty, you can put it to work here: if you knit or crochet or tat, you can make a little lace sample. If you like to doodle or draw or work in ink/oil/watercolor, how about a bitty picture, a landscape or portrait? If you enjoy bead weaving or cross stitch, then a teeny sample of this.

The rules:

  1. your creation must be between 1" and 3" square (this is flexible, as in it must fit into this grid, but really can be any shape so long as it is itty bitty; 3" being on the larger end of things), and your creation must be flat so that your partner can frame it or otherwise display it. This will also keep postage low!

  2. This swap is totally sender's choice, a chance to showcase your skill or try something new! As it is sender's choice, you can get started right away.

I hope you'll join, as I think this could be a really fun swap, and as it's small it won't be too difficult or expensive!

OMG! I just took out a book on needlework for doll houses from the library! SO perfect!
