1. Knitting, knitting-related items, and colorful yarn that is nice to the touch.

2. Colorful things in general. Favorite colors: oranges, yellows, and reds, turquoise, saturated colors.

3. Chocolate, plain and fancy.

4. Coffee, only caffeinated. I love it!!! The smell, the taste, the whole vibe. Also coffee-related paraphernalia (not sure what that would be, but it sounds appealing).

5. Beads--even just to tip out and look at.

6. Vintage textiles--old hankies, doilies, table runners, scraps of fabric.

7. Anything sparkly (I'm like a magpie).

8. Tote bags (I need places to stash my many knitting projects)

9. Anything from where you live--funny, pretty, or just representative of another place that I don't know too well.

10. I always love to get something handmade--even if you don't consider yourself particularly crafty, I'll bet you have your secret crafty side just waiting to reveal itself!

13. Postcards (from where you live, or vintage, or both, or something else entirely that catches your fancy!)

14. And let me not leave out, I love bath products (soap, lotion, cologne, anything of that ilk)--all my friends know my weakness for scented soap!

I'm not going to list any here, because I really truly enjoy surprises, and it's fun to experience other people's tastes. I've done a lot of non-swapbot swaps, and I've never been disappointed.

I cannot get enough of Mash reruns, Frasier reruns, and I love the Donna Reed Show, though they never play it anymore. I do love a good sitcom, I can't lie.

Velvet Goldmine is my all-time favorite movie.

Jazz and classical, early Bowie, Velvet Underground, Amy Winehouse, Scissor Sisters, Cornershop, country music (old and new), bluegrass, Dolly Parton, The Pogues, The Who. I'm always open to hearing something new.

I'm Brooklyn born and raised, and live there now. I'm a doctoral student. I play violin (since I was five), and have recently taken up the mandolin. My husband plays guitar, and we have a lot of live music in our house. I read a great deal and am quite obsessed with Harry Potter lately (I LOVE me some Severus Snape). We're a very bookish household; we own thousands of books (I'm actually not exaggerating). Our books are very well-organized, and my hubs and I dream of having a catalogued library system in our house...

I have a little girl (7), a dog (13), a hamster (1), and a fish (1). Our household is SO lively that I relish my evenings off to work on projects or just daydream...

I love all things San-x, Q-lia, and Kamio. But I also love any kawaii at all, not just those brands. I've found some wonderfully cute things that aren't brands I've heard of. Of Sanrio, my all-time favorite is Deery Lou. In general, I love tiny things and food-related kawaii (tofu, sweets, fruits, etc.) But don't worry, you can surprise me!

I LOVE getting loose memo sheets--from any size memo pad!

And I love loose sticker flakes.
