Description:

Dia de los Muertos or Dia De los Muertos is all about Celebrating the lives of Loved Ones who are no longer with us.

For this Swap you will Create a HANDMADE Skull Piece for your partners Altar. It can be made of Candy, plaster, clay, wood, painted, etc... But please no store bought items. Make it lovely and colorful, flashy and fun.

It's entirely up to you how you make it, but your piece should be something that can be placed on the DOD altar and not a very small piece. It can be flat or 3d and I would definitely make it free-standing.

Two (2) different Swap Partners, thus a Total of TTwo (2) Skulls are required for this swap !

So, please create a beautiful Dia de los Muertos Inspired Skull that you yourself would love to have!

US ONLY PLEASE --- US ONLY -- US ONLY --- US ONLY

Users who have demonstrated that they are not good swap partners and have very low ratings will be banned from this swap, so please only serious swappers need apply. If you have more than 2 Negative Feedback postings, you will be removed from the swap.

Hi Carolyn, It's entirely up to you, but your piece should be something that can be placed on the DOD altar and not a very small piece. It can be flat or 3d whatever you like. I would definitely make it free-standing. hope that helps, if not, please let me know ! JoAnna

Can the basic skull be bought, but decorated by you?

vidriosa 09/14/2007 #

HeideC - I guess that's okay...

WOW -- Major Light bulb moment - Maybe you could paper mache over it and then doll it up ! I'd been trying to figure out for years how to make one from scratch --- I could just use one of those plastic ones, paper mache and then paint it ! Thanks, Jo

:-)

Does it technically be a skull or can it be something with the theme on it? But can also be placed on the altar? I have a great idea but I am thinking I won't be able to do a skull persay..... But the thing I am going to do has skulls on it.....

Let me know... Annamaria

Annamaria - skulls, skull theme - I think it's all up to your own interpretation, I don't think anyone would mind putting one of your pieces on their altar !

Shaynafay - wow you're fast. You did make 2 right? After the 10th of October you'll be assigned partners and then you can send your skulls to them. . DO TAKE PICTURES and upload them to the SWAP Gallery so we can all see them please !
