I live on a small farm is SE Indiana, and I love the country. The farm I live on is about 4 acres and I get lots of deer, wild turkeys and other "wild" visitors.

I am a downhome grandmother of four. I usually have my grandkids with me all weekend, and besides fishing in the pond, feeding the animals and working in the garden, we go on trips to the aquarium, to the museum, and to the zoo.

My hobbies include reading, cooking, gardening and crafting. I love taking photos and am rarely without my camera. I am also an avid reader and usually go through 3-4 books a week and 2-3 books on tape. I am also taking classes at a local community college to earn a degree in Business Management.

I love yard sales and go to the flea market every Wednesday morning. I love rooting through the stuff and finding those amazing treasures!

My favorite colors are soft purples, greens and blues. I do NOT like strident or neon colors. I like soft floral scents or scents like fresh rain, ocean breeze or clean linen. I do not like heavy earthy scents or the smell of vanilla.

My favorite flowers are lilacs, lilly of the valley and lavender. I love the spring when all the flowers begin to bloom and I bring masses of them into the house to savor the scent.

My current favorite TV shows are Top Chef and Hell's Kitchen. They are the only "reality" shows I watch. Other shows I like include House, The Office, The Closer, Monk, Bones, & Desperate Housewives. I also love BBC TV, especially Hamish Macbeth, Jeeves & Wooster, Doc Martin, All Creatures Great and Small, and of course, Dr. Who. MY FAVE FAVE OF ALL TIME IS A SERIES CALLED "DEAD LIKE ME". FABRIC!! Right now I'm in love with it! I've been using quilting cotton a lot and would love quarter yards or fat quarters.

I love to read and read 3-4 books a week, as well as 2-3 books on tape. My favorite author is Anne McCaffrey. Sadly, she is not writing any longer, but her son Todd has begun to continue her most popular series, "The Dragonriders of Pern". I also like a lot of Mercedes Lackey's books. Terry Pratchett is also a favorite, I love his "Discworld" series and the spinoffs. I also like Kerry Greenwood's "Phryne Fischer" series, which has just started to be republished in the US.

Note: I pick up my mail on Friday only and rate as I am opening envelopes.

Litlle Miss Annabelle was born July 9, 2008 and is just a tiny little mite of love!

Gabriel and Luke are both 5 and love airplanes, helicopters and trains. Gabriel is quite an artist and loves to draw and color with markers.

Taylor is 7 and she loves Hannah Montanna, watercolors, and coloring books.

Great Goddess, whose voice I hear in the wind, who breathes the breath of life to Her children, Hear Me; I need your strength and wisdom. I seek strength, not to be greater than others, but to fight my greatest enemy, the doubts within myself. Make me wise so that I may understand the things you teach your people and my ears sharp to hear your voice.

Help me to remain calm and strong in the face of all that comes toward me. Help me seek pure thoughts and act with the intention of helping others. Help me find compassion and walk in beauty. Let me learn the lessons you have hidden in every leaf and rock and respect the things you have made.

Make my eyes ever behold the sunset that comes before the beauty of night. Make me always ready to come to you with clean hands and straight eyes, so when life fades, as the fading sunset, my spirit may come to you without shame.
