Description:

I was a kid in the 80's, so I was so excited when fluorescent/neon colors showed up again!

If you love neon, fluorescent, glow in the dark... join the swap and we'll make some handmade mail art!

The format will be like a handmade postcard, anything 4x6 or greater. Just send it with the stamp right on it, not in an envelope. Part of the fun of mail art is seeing what its like when it arrives.

Spend some time on these... they make neon paints, neon thread, neon beads, glow in the dark nail polishes, I've seen neon magazine ads or gift wrap to collage with... try to use everything you can to make these extra cool!

Part of the requirement for this is that you spend the time to embellish them and make something you're proud of. :)

You'll make 2 of them and send each one to a different partner. You can make them both the same or different!

If you love this stuff as much as I do, join my Neon ATC swap too!

(If you didn't get anything from your partner, let me know and I'll send you something myself!)

I would love to join this swop but I only have one concern. If it is not in an envelope and is posted with embellishments on, what happens when it gets moved around in the mail? Surely all the hard work is going to come off and what if the image gets dirty or wet and the artwork is ruined? If you could please help clear this up for me then i would love to join in.

Hi! I've been in mailart communities for years and years... I always send my stuff with collages (usually using mod podge), puffy paint/glitter glue, beads, sewing, etc... it usually always gets there in great shape, it depends how you apply your embellishments I think?

If you're worried about it, just use embellishments that won't come off like paint, nail polish, stuff like that?

As long as you put effort into it, that'll make everyone happy. :)

Here's an example of something I made with neon colors and sent in the mail that didn't have 3-D embellishments, if you want an idea? This might make you feel more comfortable?

This was too fun! I'm sending mine out today. They glow in the dark too!
