Description:

Since none of us have done a whimsey jar before this could be fun and interesting!

We will use a jar that is at least 16oz, about the size of a peanut butter or jelly jar I think. If you want to send bigger, feel free to do so.

You can either buy one at a craft store or eat a bunch of peanut butter and clean it out really well. I'm leaning towards buying one lol. Make sure it has a lid!!!

You will then fill your jar with lovely goodies! Since it is close to Valentine's Day...ish... you could try filling it with that theme stuff...if not, aim for profile based.

Since I have never done a whimsey jar I am not totally sure what goes inside them. I know they are decorated pretty on the outside and filled with goodies but that is about all I know.

Make sure you pack them very well so they do not break on the way!

i'll have to make a killer batch of peanut butter cookies/fudge in order to empty a peanut butter jar!! :/ My neighbor's kids will LOVE me.

I've been "on strike" since New Year's Eve, so there's been a lot of PB&J consumption here. But actually, we ordinarily go through a lot of peanut butter. Hmmm? Oh, brainstorm!...anyone up for a peanut butter recipe swap? You know, a recipe using peanut butter, not a recipe for how to make peanut butter.

Hey Liz,

You want to change this swap to package instead of electronic. LOL

can i use glass or plastic? does it matter which? I love whimsey jars.... you might say they are my thing!

Um are we theme ing this whimsy jar, bc I kinda just started going with a Valentines Day theme already. @ Cherry I think glass or plastic is fine. =)

I've totally made a Valentine's themed one!
