Description:

This is an easy, international swap.

I drink a lot of milk, and I thought it might be fun to swap ATCs that are made of milk cartons. I usually stick to the same brand all the time, but as there are things like buttermilk or yoghurt, it will be possible to create two sets of two different milk ATCs. That makes four ATCs altogether.

It's easy: Just cut an ATC out of a carton of a milk product; it should still be recognizable (for example, let the cow and/or the word "Milk" show). Put embellishments on it, if you like (it's not a must).

Oh, before I forget: Rinse the carton thoroughly, otherwise your partner will faint as soon as the envelope is opened... lol

Great idea!!

is any milk product applicable: cheese, yogurt, etc?

Thanks!

Hm, my milk cartons don't have "milk" written on them (or maybe somewhere in fine print it is) but they have "piens". Should I add translation?

AnkeArnold 10/12/2007 #

@peridoticparadox The milk product should come in a carton because it's sturdy enough to be an ATC

@pahasiga Oh, don't worry about the language - my cartons say "Milch" which is German :) You could just write on the back of the card what language it is...

Can this be in college form? Like an ATC made up of different milk products or does each card have to be a carton cut in the shape of an ATC?

Is ice cream that has on package it has "milk protein" in (and vegetable oil and other nasty things as well) a milk product?

AnkeArnold 10/14/2007 #

@Xebby Well, if you LIKE to make it that way, that's okay. But the thought behind the swap was that those milk cartons make perfect ATCs just the way they are.

@pahasiga As long as it looks funny/original/interesting, that's fine.

I probably misunderstood this swap in the beginning. I'm sorry.

@sewcrazy & angeleyes: My cards go out tomorrow; I've been spending a week in bed due to a nasty flu, I'm sorry that I couldn't write sooner :(
