Easy swap. Newbies with filled out Profiles encouraged. I understand we all have to start somewhere and this is a great swap to do that. Send a stuffed envelope with all sorts of goodies to one partner. Please send, at least a long business size envelope that measures approximately 4 x 9 inches, however you can certainly choose to go bigger if you want. The items you send are senders choice, however it is always nice to look at your partners profile and try to send items they can use. This is not a Profile swap, so please do not spend a lot of money shopping for profile surprises. This is more for you to send items that you have on hand, that are in good usable condition. This does not mean you can send your trash, send only items in good, usable condition. Please do not send items like, your used candy wrappers, or written on apt. card, etc. Do send items from the list below. If you are unsure of items, you can ask me. Examples Include (but are not limited to )

Post cards,

Greeting Cards

Scrapbook papers, chipboard, etc ephemera

recipes/recipe cards

old photographs

small books

handmade items

craft supplies

teas/coffee/drink mixes

fabric scraps, sewing items

rubber stamps

Or anything else you want to share that is in good, usable condition.

PLEASE REINFORCE your envelope with tape at the seams or use a larger envelope, if you think there is a chance it will explode during mailing. You may also choose to put stuff in a baggie in case the envelope tears in transit. This is a USA only swap. Have fun. No recent no sends allowed. Please rate your partner. No FLAKERS ALLOWED. Do Not Flake. I will list all flakers. I reserve the right to ban individuals.

Please do not send scraps of memo paper/notebook/post-it type paper, etc. You may send the whole memo pad or notebook but scraps of note paper does not equal scrapbook papers.

New Swappers- Profile Help: To fill out your profile, go to Profile. Then select Edit Profile. Next select Personal. You will be brought to a screen where you can fill in the sections or add your own information. Things like favorite colors, crafts you do, items you collect, hobbies, likes/dislikes, etc...all help your partner to send you items that you will like.

USA Only

How fun! Thanks for hosting this!

saturner 06/ 6/2011 #

cool! thank you for the opportunity to exchange not only all the good things, but also to make new friends ;)

debbiepittman 06/ 6/2011 #

I love swapping big bags of surprises like this. I signed up. I have some medium size padded envies already (not the little ones, but not giant ones either). Unless it is just fbs/papers, I always go padded for this stuff.

I'll start getting mine filled out today.

elnajay 06/ 6/2011 #

This sounds terrific! I've definitely got a lot of lovely little bits and pieces that could use a new home. Thank you for hosting.

fawnscrafts 06/ 9/2011 #

On the seeds, can they be homegrown and harvested and mixed as a package?

wolfeagle 06/ 9/2011 #

@fawnscrafts I don't have a problem with you sending homegrown seeds, mixed in a little baggie, etc, as part of this swap. I would recommend labeling them...so whoever gets them will know what they are. :)

jen75 06/11/2011 #

This is great! I have TONS of fun stuff to send! My sister always laughs at me and says she wants to "go shopping" in my craft room! I really need to "clean out" some stuff! So yay!!!! Looking forward to sharing! :-)

saturner 06/11/2011 #

I am like jen75 style :) I have tons of fun stuff and my husband always say: someday we need to live in a dog house, because our house isgetting full of your craft stuff. lol

tiffanymarieMA 06/12/2011 #

Sounds wicked fun!

Elayne 06/13/2011 #

Sign me up please

MizzKodak 06/13/2011 #

so we can send anything except the stuff you listed?

charophyta 06/13/2011 #

Haha fawnscrafts, YES you should send me HOMEGROWN SEEDS! As long as it's not something that needs cold times. It's too hot here for that. Anyway if it can grow in hot weather and sun or partial sun, I want it! :)

wolfeagle 06/14/2011 #

@MizzKodak ...this is a sender's choice swap, so you can send 1 item or 100, as long as the envelope is stuffed full and the item(s) you send are in good usable condition. You should NOT send any trash/broken/dirty items.

Michele1015 06/14/2011 #

I will have fun passing on some unneeded things to a new home!

beenebag 06/15/2011 #

You know the post office has a padded FLAT RATE (9x12) envelope now and I think it's only $4.95 to send, no matter how heavy:) If it seals with no tape then it's only $4.95 to send. I recently sent my friend 3 jars of Golden paint and a bunch of other stuff that way. I'm not able to play this time, I hope this swap is posted again later in the summer. Sounds like fun:)

Deborahs4 06/16/2011 #

RetroMomof5 06/17/2011 #

I am new to the site and this will be my first swap. I have so many vintage lil things I was going to sell on Etsy. But this is so much more fun and exciting. When do we get a address to send the person items. :)

daniecex 06/17/2011 #

Sucks I was dropped from this swap.. I already bought the stuff and the envelope & had every intention of mailing it.. Oh well. I'll find someone else to send it to. Enjoy guys! (:

wolfeagle 06/17/2011 #

Getting close. I'll start reviewing profiles and banning people, so please have your profile updated. @RetroMomof5 Welcome to swap-bot. Hosts have 7 days to review profiles and assign partners. I usually do it the first day I can. As a newbie, please read the FAQs and new user info, in the Help section above. There is so much good info.

RetroMomof5 06/17/2011 #

Thank you wolf. Yes I have checked out the FAQ and the forums. I am going to be also signing up in the forums for a swap as well to help boost my rating. So people will not think I am flaky. :)

leegermer 06/18/2011 #

RetroMomof5 06/21/2011 #

How do I mark it sent :(

wolfeagle 06/21/2011 #

@RetroMom click on the swap name you want. In the upper right side is a yellow box that says things like Click here when sent, click here to view your partner, click here to rate your partner, etc. Click on the appropriate link when you have sent your package.

117Marcia 06/23/2011 #

The package is awesome......thank you

saturner 07/ 9/2011 #

well...I think I am disappointed and I will to disappoint the partner I received with my rating. But I will be honest and rating fairly. First the person sent me an email on on the last day saying he/she forgot about the swap and was sending my package on the first business day after the 4th July holiday. So if we have a due date, and you don't send on time it was not on swap rules, right? Then I receive the package and I thought it was going to be USA Big Fat Stuffed Envelope Swap #10. When I received the envelope and I opened has only papers, and the rules on this swap is: "Please do not send scraps of memo paper/notebook/post-it type paper, etc. You may send the whole memo pad or notebook but scraps of note paper does not equal scrapbook papers.'

So I received pieces of papers, cut by hands or whatever, it was around 18 piece of scrap papers, some the person used pencil to make squares and cut, so was scratched with pencil, others just cut very tinny pieces and stamped. Ah I forgot tell about a rule, looks like a rule around 4 inches with some shape but it was dirt with I think play-do (not sure, but it was dirt.

Honestly, how can I rate this person? how fairly should I be?

I understand also here: "This is not a Profile swap, so please do not spend a lot of money shopping for profile surprises. This is more for you to send items that you have on hand, that are in good usable condition. This does not mean you can send your trash, send only items in good, usable condition. Please do not send items like, your used candy wrappers, or written on apt. card, etc."

That does not mean you will send all bunch of piece papers you cut by hands or using rule and send to someone. That is kind of sad you show the partner how responsible you are with you swaps sending a message on the last day saying you forgot about them, and then you send some piece papers you find in somewhere and cut, put in a envelope and pay $ 1.32 for the mail. I bet the mail was more expensive then what came in the envelope.

Thank you partner.

lillinda3 07/11/2011 #

I should have read beenebags post earlier. the package I sent out cost over $7.00! THe p.o, of course, didn't let me in on that secret! Wondering how long it's going to take to get there? I sent it on the last day of June.

wolfeagle 07/11/2011 #

Yes, the flat rate envelopes are awesome. :)

@Saturner I'm so sorry you are disappointed with your package. I would recommend doing two things in the future: a). always try to work with your partner first and b) secondly, you should contact the swap host directly and see if there is anything they can do. Thankfully, I am still checking this comments section, but many hosts may not chek it after the swap has closed and thus would have missed this. Sending you a PM.

jen75 07/16/2011 #

Well it looks as though I'll be leaving my first LOW rating. I really don't want to rate my partner a 1!! I had hoped she would at least answer my PM.... sigh... don't know what else to do. This honestly makes me feel worse then being flaked on! :o(

wolfeagle 07/18/2011 #

Hi Jen75, That stinks you were flaked on. We ended up with 2 flakes in this swap. I see you have rated your partner a 1 already, so I'm letting an angel know to send to you. I'm so sorry you are 1 of the 2 that have been flaked on.

jen75 07/20/2011 #

Thanks Angela :) I appreciate your keeping up with this swap thread.
