I'm Jenny~ my friends call me Jen. I'm a very down to earth person and am definitely NOT materialistic! Give me a comfy sweatshirt and a pair of jeans and I'm happy!

I LOVE to laugh~ the best is when you're in a situation where you're trying so hard NOT to laugh and then you look over at someone else who's trying not to laugh... and now you're both about to explode!!! :O)

I love hanging out with my girlfriends. I would rather have only a few close friends than a big group of people I can't trust. This may be because I have a very stubborn pride and tend to struggle with forgiveness. But I do consider myself to be a great friend; I would do anything for my friends. I'm a good listener and a great secret keeper. I have pretty strong shoulders! On the down side, I tend to get my feelings hurt easily and care too much what others think. I second guess myself ALOT!! I'm pretty hard on myself and have a very low self esteem.I know I need to work on this. I see myself in my children and I don't want this BAD trait to rub off on them!

MY FAMILY IS MY LIFE

The four most important people in my life are my husband and three children. Without them, I would be nothing.

I met Robert when we were only 18 and 20. One of the first few times I spoke to him was at the shop where he worked on his race car; that very night he proposed. He won me over with a soldered ring with a blob of brass in place of a diamond! Three months later he gave me the real thing and we eloped to LasVegas. We celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary last July. ♥

I'm very involved with my kids; I've been the PTO Treasurer for 10 years, was a Girl Scout leader for 6yrs, serve on numerous committees throughout the school and also Chair the end of year school Carnival.

In March our son turned 16. He's a self taught guitar player and song writer. I love listening to him play. He's very outgoing, funny and talented. And not too bad at sports; lettered in FB and Baseball his Freshman and Sophmore years. He went to state for FBLA and recently took a trip to Branson with the school Jazz band.He's now driving which totally blows my mind!!!

Our oldest daughter is 13; she and I are best buds. We have a great time shopping, crafting and just hanging out together. Just like me, she wears her heart on her sleeve. She would do anything for anybody. She's definitely a giver and not a taker. But UN-like me she ROCKS the Volley Ball and Basketball courts. She's a natural athlete. She plays the saxaphone and just won first chair in the JR high band!

Our youngest daughter turned 7 in July. She is a bubble of energy; loves to sing and dance; she recently played Hildegarde in the play Tom Sawyer and litterally stole the show! Totally different then the other two, she's always pushing the envelope.... but she will melt your heart in a second with her toothy grin! She's spoiled rotten by all four of us and we love her to pieces!

Charlie is our Chocolate Lab ♥ Charlie was recently hit by a car on the highway. He has a broken pelvis but the vet thinks he will recover. We have an underground fence... unfortunately as we learned, these are NOT always reliable. A note to drivers: PLEASE PLEASE slow down and remember by leaving an animal that you've HIT on the road, your are leaving part of someone's FAMILY behind.

Robert and I were NOT cat people! and then one day this tiny little kitten found her way into our garage and our girls found her! My husband the tough guy that he is couldn't say no and she's been with us ever since.

My favorite book of all time!

I LOVE to read. Reading is one of the best things I have in common with my 13 year old daughter. We have many great talks about some of the books we've read. We both LOVE the Twilight , Harry Potter and Hunger Games Series.

I have a Kindle but still I love the smell and feel of a book. I love the sound of the page turning...

I love watching movies! I love GOING to movies with friends, ordering the biggest bucket of popcorn and chatting about it all the way home! I like the suspense of scary movies but I don't like blood and gore! I'll skip all the "chainsaw" shows thank you! I love to laugh so a good comedy is always appreciated! I also like a good cry so a sad movie once in a while is ok too! My favorite movie ever is "Elvis and Me" a made for TV movie... it was out when I was in JR high school. (the 80's...shhh...) I have it on VHS!!! Thanks Mom!!!

My favorite movies right now are the Twilight Series...YES... I am "one of those"!

I own all of the books and have purchased every movie so far. My 13yr old and I are counting down the days until the MIDNIGHT premiere of Breaking Dawn!

NOVEMBER 18th

OMG!!! It was such a blast!! My daughter, myself, two of her friends and my BFF went to a TWILIGHT Marathon! We watched all FOUR movies (including the first half of Breaking Dawn)!! We stayed overnight in a hotel and shopped all the next day. I'm still tingling!!! TEAM EDWARD baby!!! Whoo Hoo!!!

Speaking of MIDNIGHT shows....

My BFF and I took my eldest daughter and two of her friends to the Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows part 2 MIDNIGHT show! It was a GREAT movie but a bittersweet experience.... Harry Potter has been a part of my kids' life since my son was in the 4th grade! ♥

I am mostly a paper crafter; I can't sew or draw very well! But I LOVE crafting and have a great time with it! ~ Someday I hope to learn to use my big beautiful sewing machine that sits there collecting dust day after day~

My latest projects:

School is taking up A LOT of my time right now! I hope to add some "fun" pictures here soon!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Cricut! I have TONS of cartriages and I have a wish list of more!

I love to alter just about anything; paintcans, books, jars, lightbulbs, ....

What was once a pineapple can made a very cute gift container!

I hunt garage sales and auctions to find the "perfect" thing. I love making other people's junk into something someone else might love!

I also like using rubber stamps and making cards. I'm proud to be part of a large group that makes cards anonymously and sends to those in need.

I love antique furniture and hope to someday have time to restore all of the "treasures" I've found at various auctions over the years! I love old jewelry and will take apart broken peices and put them together to make something new :) I have a collection of old cookbooks and am always looking for more! If you have any you would like to get rid of I would LOVE them!
