Description:

This is ATC challenge is a fun way to use all those heart-shaped punches and stickers and heart-themed papers and other supplies you've got lying around, but didn't want to make Yet Another Heart ATC with.

For this swap, you will make 2 ATCs each for 2 partners.

  • One ATC will use actual hearts, in a way that they form another shape. For example, 4-5 hearts in a circle with their points in, makes a flower;

  • The other ATC will use anything but hearts, in a way that forms a heart, or the illusion of a heart. For example, the "negative space" between two swan necks, a coffee mug & it's shadow, or something as simple as a spray of flowers which have a heart-shaped silhouette.

You may use any medium for your ATCs - collage, photos, fabric, polymer clay, paints, pencil sketch - the sky's your limit. The only constraint, as ever, is that they must be the standard size of 2.5 by 3.5 inches, and preferably slim enough to fit in a trading card sleeve/album. Please ensure that glue is dry before posting!

About ATCs

Cedarseed's article is the de facto hub of information, inspiration and ideas (http://www.cedarseed.com/air/atc.html), but I also like the 'Making ATCs' pages at Altered Art (http://www.altered-art.net/make-artist-trading-cards.html)

Fine print:

  • Newbies are welcome with a complete profile (this shows a level of commitment to swapping and the Swap Bot community, and helps instil trust), but please send me a message and introduce yourself first.
  • This swap is international
  • Anyone is welcome with a rating of 4.8 and no recent no-sends.
  • I won't be banning people until after signups prior to assigning partners, so if you think your profile may look questionable, would like special consideration, or have any other questions, drop me a message in plenty of time!

As the posting date is in time for Valentine's day (not that I'm much of a fan of "Happy Hallmark Day" mind!) and these ATCs don't need to be tailored to your partner's profile, feel free to crate them in advance. If for any reason you find you can't post them by the posting date, please get in touch with your partners and myself, as everyone is far more patient and tolerant when there is communication on both sides.

Apologies for the delay in assigning partners for this swap - first chance I've had to log in since the time ticked over in West coast America!

Hope you all enjoy making your ATCs and receive some great little works of art from your partners.

As ever, please do let myself and your partners know if you find for any reason you cannot send out by the deadline. If you have any questions or problems, drop me a PM and I'll do my best to help :)

Happy swapping!

Suzigrace9 and Nicci, your cards are in the post from the UK.

I'm going to push the posting deadline back to Monday, as I've been running a bit behind with work, and will need Saturday for finishing ATCs! Hopefully this will help rather than hinder you all too :)

Oh Thanks Rillaith, I thought I have missed the sent date and is almost getting into a panic mode =D. I will be sending them out first thing in the morning. Sorry for my partner for getting the card after V-day. Hope you all enjoy a great valentine day anyway~!
