I live in central Oregon with my husband, daughter and 6 pets (2 dogs, 1 cat, 2 house rabbits, and an iguana that we're babysitting for a few months). My daughter was born in March 2007 so I'm learning to parent a toddler right now. I love crafting! My favorites are knitting, sewing, paper crafts, jewelry making and floral design.
Right now Feist is my favorite, I also have been listening to Cat Power, KT Tunstall and country a lot. I like pretty much something in every genre, I'm not picky. :-)
White Oleander, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, the Little House on the Prarie series (I read them all at least once a year). I love my craft and knitting books too!
Amelie, Under the Tuscan Sun, Memoirs of a Geisha, Girl with a Pearl Earring, Lost in Translation, Anne of Green Gables, Gone With the Wind, You've Got Mail, Marie Antoinette, Chicago, Frida
John and Kate Plus 8, Little People Big World, America's Next Top Model, Project Runway, Grey's Anatomy
Knitting, sewing, paper crafts (card making, collage, etc. - I love pretty paper), jewelry making, baking, flower arranging (I'm a florist). I'm always up for trying something new, I've tried lots of different things but the above are the things that have stuck. I am a sucker for pretty prints whether it's fabric or paper, I love color, I love little vintage embellishments - buttons, sequins, beads, ric-rac, you name it. My favorite things to make have a little touch of modern, lots of vintage, and pretty color combinations.
Things that sparkle, sweets, vintage - especially things from the 20s through the 50s, flowers, cute Japanese things, pretty craft books and magazines, yarn or fabric in natural fibers (cotton, wool, alpaca, silk, etc.), polka dots, anything that's sweet and pretty.
My daughter just turned one, so any toys that are appropriate for one-year-olds would be great! She loves animals - especially dogs, cats and rabbits.
Light pink and aqua blue, Pink (any shade except neon), Blue (any shade), Green (pale, grass, shades found in nature), Lavender, "Ocean" colors - beach glass, water, sand, driftwood, etc.
I would really, really love any Japanese craft books or craft magazines - used or past issues are great too! They're hard to get around here. The only ones I have are a May 2008 issue of Cotton Time and The Cute Book by Aranzi Aranzo.
