I live in central Oregon with my husband, daughter, my pets and our clucky backyard chickens! My daughter Lucy is a crazy, sweet, terrific 3 year old. I had a baby boy named Lincoln on August 20th! Life's a little crazy right now. :)

I love crafting! My favorites would have to be knitting and sewing. Art and design are big drivers of mine. I love to be surrounded by beautiful things in all areas of my life!

Right now - Feist, Cat Power, Alison Krauss and Sia.

My favorites right now are knitting, needle felting, sewing and anything involving natural materials! My husband and I are getting very into woodworking so you'd probably find me sanding and painting too. I'm always up for trying something new, I've tried lots of different things but the above are the things that have stuck. I love color, I love little vintage embellishments - buttons, sequins, beads, rick-rack, etc.

Favorites! - Things that sparkle, vintage - especially things from the 20s through the 50s, shabby chic, mid century modern, cute Japanese things, being self sufficient and the "forgotten" arts and crafts, things that are cute but dark, earthy things, yarn or fabric in natural fibers (cotton, wool, alpaca, silk, etc.), old textiles, anything handmade by you! I also love old things that show their age - rust, tarnish, holes, rips, frays, patinas, etc. Just not stains. :)

Not so Favorites - Swap packages where someone obviously didn't look at my profile and just seemed to send whatever they had lying around that they didn't want (I don't at all mind getting items that someone already owns, as long as they really think I'd like them or be able to use them), Disney or Looney Toons characters, USA themed stuff, cheap looking dollar store items, smoke smelling packages - blech.

I'm not horribly picky, if you read my profile and put time and care into the swap you're sending me I will be happy!

My daughter Lucy is 3. I don't think I could sum her up in one paragraph but I'll try... She loves nature, especially baby birds, eggs and nests right now. She loves to dance. She loves her dress up trunk. She loves building and blocks. She loves her family and her baby brother. She's a very good mommy to her dolls and animals. She likes gardens, flowers, leaves, etc. and our chickens. She is very much a nature girl! We are a waldorf inspired family and have a seasonal nature table that she enjoys adding to.

My son Lincoln is just a little guy, he was born in August 2010. He likes baby stuff. :D I can't wait to see his personality evolve. He's kind of feisty and definitely knows what he wants. He's very sweet and loves his mommy, daddy and sissy.

I'm sort of a color fanatic. Anything and everything goes. I love unusual color combinations that really pop. My favorite colors to wear are blues, greens, grays and neutrals. My house is decorated in bold colors like red, pea green, gold and chocolate brown. For crafting I like bright pastels (if there is such a thing). So yeah, every color has a place. :)

-Japanese craft books or magazines

-Vintage fabric - I especially like pieces of vintage floral sheets.

-Leftover balls of wool or alpaca yarn in any color for a patchwork style blanket I'm knitting

-Vintage buttons in bright colors (not neutrals like black, white, brown, etc.). I have a hard time finding these.

-Vintage trims

-Kitschy little plastic things

-Natural fiber supplies - yarns, silk ribbon, wool roving, etc.
