I'm a Youth Services Librarian, in a public library, working with toddlers up to teens. I love to read, and read a lot!

I listen to a variety of music, but not much country or rap. When I'm in the car, I constantly flip radio stations. I grew up listening to oldies, so that's my comfort music. Other favorites include U2, David Gray and Bruce Springsteen. My current obsession is The Frames.

As I said above, I read a lot! I'll read just about anything, and it's so hard for me to pick favorites! Older things I love: Paddington, Pooh, L.M. Montgomery, the Betsy-Tacy books, Little House on the Prairie...newer favorites: Kevin Henkes, The Penderwicks, Sarah Dessen (ya)...but these are just a few...the list could go on and on! I collect books from the older children's series the Happy Hollisters and Honey Bunch. Love any kind of travel book or book set in another country. I always enjoy hearing about what other people are reading.

Some faves include: Love Actually, Goonies, Serendipity, Bringing Up Baby

I mostly watch tv series on dvd...current favorite show is Modern Family.

I enjoy making ATCs. I'm intrigued by all the cute matchboxes, but haven't tried one yet. I like papercrafts, but I don't do a lot of scrapbooking. I do love all the embellishments available though! I keep saying that someday I'm going to learn how to knit, but it hasn't happened yet...

My style is a mix... my house = Crate & Barrel/Pottery Barn + shabby chic + some antiques and flea market finds.

Things I Love:

*black and white photos, especially of buildings and landscapes

*Extra Fine Point Sharpie markers are my favorite - I use them to write everything.

*ribbon, especially grosgrain

*all things Christmas, especially snowmen

*quotations

*vintage things - fabric, papers, photos, decorations, etc. I love old glass bottles, esp. the cobalt blue ones. I love using things like mason jars and tin cups for storing things likes pens and pencils.

*My favorite scent is vanilla. I also like light, clean scents, nothing too strong or flowery.

*favorite colors - all shades of blue, apple green, chocolate brown - I only like purple in small doses. I like pink.

*I prefer dogs to cats.

*I don't have a lot of dislikes - it's so fun to get something I never would have thought of, or chosen for myself, yet end up loving it. That being said, I just can't seem to get into tea - I prefer coffee and hot chocolate. I love chocolate, but not with raisins or fruit.
