I am a former preschool teacher, but right now I am a SAH Mommy/Grammy. I have 4 children--3 daughters and 1 son. Three of my children are grown, 2 still at home--one a college student and one a 5yr old!LOL I have 3 granddaughters--one is5 and the other 2 will be 1 and 2 in September. I babysit the 5 yr old and the 2 yr old, the baby lives right down the street! Her Mommy is a SAH Mommy right now, too.

As you can see, I am a very family-oriented person---My husband and I have been married since 1977! I will be old enough to join the Red Hat Society this year, but still feel very young--I think all the kids keep me that way (or maybe it's watching all of the children's programming--I just don't know)!LOL

I have a wacky sense of humor and very eclectic tastes. I love to cook/bake. I like to think that I am the "Casserole Queen"!

I collect children's books, windchimes, things with lighthouses on them, small birdhouses, buttons (in a button jar). I love to read!! My favs are: thrillers, true crime, paranormal romance. Some of my fav authors are: Janet Evanovich, MaryJanice Davidson, James Patterson, Jonathan Kellerman, Allison Brennan, and lots more.

I am a Sunday School teacher, currently teaching grades 1-5! My family and I are all very active in church (Southern Baptist)---and I don't mind receiving religious things.

My 5 yr old and I have recently become interested in bats---we put up to bathouses, but don't have any bats in them yet--I started looking for 'green' ways to get rid of mosquitoes and that is how we became interested in them.

I love the shows like Super Nanny, Nanny 911, Trading Spouses and Wife Swap (how come those people on the shows always have nice, clean houses????). I like House, Criminal Minds, CSI, etc. I watch a lot of Discovery Channel, Food Network, etc. and of course, all of those shows the preschooler set loves!

Non-Sewing crafts(LOL). Making bookmarks, paper projects, matchboxes!!!!I love to make and receive these. I love pretty and/or unique paper. Not sure of my artistic side---but I am creative!LOL I love buttons, especially vintage ones---I'm working on filling my second gallon pickle jar with buttons! I also love making magnets out of all kinds of things put onto tiles----this was a VBS craft idea that I 'stole' and made mine!

I love surprises! I always love getting addy labels and swap cards. When I get postage stamps, I feel like I've won the lottery!(I like all denominations of stamps, so I can mail lots of stuff from home:.1,.2,.5,.10,etc.) I like cute magnets, holiday themed items, sharpies, postcards, new recipes, cookbooks (esp. church cookbooks), stickers, homemade cds--esp. 70s music (KC and the Sunshine band, etc)LOL I'm very easy to please....I just love getting mail! My favorite color is red, but I also love jewels tones: purple, teal, bright yellow. I love puzzle books---word search, crosswords, fill it ins. I love gel pens for doing puzzle books. I also love jigsaw puzzles--my favs are 100pc ones because I can do them fast before the kids take off with the pcs!LOL

Something I've really been wishing for: postcard folders--used to see them everywhere in the 60s. I'm going through a 'vintage memory' period and I remember my grandparents always bringing these to me after vacations. They are little postcard booklets--with several postcards all attached to one another.

I have been a member of Swap-bot since May, 2007. I've been trading books and other media on line for about 5 yrs.

I don't really have too many dislikes. I really don't care for individual sheets torn from notepads, but I do like notepads.
