I am married with two teenage daughters and live in Willmar, MN. I am a radiologist. I was born and raised in Michigan and attended Michigan State University for both college and med school. I have three dogs, but I keep them away from my stuff and I make sure no dog hair is being sent with my items. I keep a very clean house, but let me know if you have any allergies.

I enjoy reading, traveling, knitting, bookgroups, and shopping! With two teenage daughters, the shopping never stops!! Nor does the drama, the hand-wringing and the worrying. My husband is a writer, a Navy commander and an electrical engineer by training. He is co-author of a series of books called The Two-Space Wars, with Dave Grossman. I also have two step-sons, both of whom graduated from Virgina Tech this past year and are in the Air Force and Marines respectively. We have 3 dogs, a cat, a Macaw and two hamsters. Things are never boring around our house!!

I love all kinds of music. My favorites are probably classic rock and jazz, though I am really into country these days as well. I saw Keith Urban a couple of weeks ago and I believe that was the best concert I hav ever been to and I have been to quite a few in 50 plus years. I like the great singers like Shirley Bassey, Streisand, Judy Garland, Mel Torme, Tony Bennett, etc. a lot as well. There isn't much in the way of music I don't like.

I have been an avid reader all my life. I like true crime, literary fiction, mysteries and courtroom thrillers. I will try just about any kind of book, though. I used to host bookgroups online many years ago, including an Oprah group.

I like comedy, drama, horror and adventure about equally. I also like sci-fi. I don't care for really, really long movies as I can get distracted.

Don't watch much TV, just Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, Court TV when I can, and basketball. I now found a new one I like as well--The Cashmere Mafia. I think it was the reference to fiber in the name that got me. LOL! I am a huge basketball fan. My team is the Detroit Pistons. My entire game room is decorated in Pistons stuff. The walls are blue and my pool table is a matching royal blue. Yeah, I am a fanatic.

Knitting, silk flower arranging, photography. I used to collect dolls and have a couple hundred but don't really do that anymore. I also used to collect model cars.

Things I would love to get anytime are:

anything to do with the Detroit Pistons caramels, especially the chewy kind, books of any kind, things from other states, countries, etc., especially local to the sender, clothes for two small dogs..one 8 pounds, the other 20, but short, candles...can never have too many anything to do with knitting, especially beaded markers and other cool accessories, knitting mags
