I am in my mid-30's with two wonderful daughters, one 4 months and the other 3 years. I am a Stay At Home Mom and I intend on homeschooling them. I use cloth diapers, use a sling, and I breastfeed. I started sewing when I was younger because my mother insisted I learn, which annoyed me incredibly. But now that I have girls of my own and we are living on one income I find that I love sewing and so I am working on projects whenever I get the chance. I am trying to learn to be more frugal and how to make our money go farther.
My three year old loves craft time and so I am always looking for things to do with her. I have been making clothes for her, too.
I lived in Germany for a year in high school with family - both parents were born and raised in there. I miss it terribly.
I love Holidays, especially Halloween, Christmas, and birthdays because I am trying to get a bunch of traditions hashed out now so that they are in place when my girls are older. We had no traditions when we were younger and it was so boring. Every birthday and holiday just flowed into all the rest. Isn't that sad? People ask me what I got for a birthday in any given year and I cannot answer.
Neil Gaiman, Stephen King, Anne Rice, Sue Grafton
Historical romance novels set in England
The eighties - Depeche Mode, Soft Cell, etc.
Celtic music
My Cousin Vinny - I think the best movie of all time, only because for some asinine reason there is a movie quote from this movie to suit all occasions.
Till There Was You - Sums up my philosophical beliefs quite nicely.
Smilla's Sense of Snow - Cause it's cool.
Night At The Roxbury - Cause it's funny
Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion - Cause I hated high school, too
Emma - Cause I cry when Mr. Knightley, (Jeremy Northam) proposes.
I watch way too much TV when I should be spending my time doing other things. That said - CSI: New York and Las Vegas, Criminal Minds, NCIS, Ghost Whisperer, Numbers, Bones, House, Monk and Dexter. Except Dexter annoyed me since in the fall they are moving to Showtime, which meant that for the entire season I felt like I was watching a one hour commercial every Sunday night. I really liked that show, but we don't have cable or satellite or anything. Just normal rabbit ears.

My daughter is three. She is very girly. I'm sure I don't know where she gets it!! ;) She loves everything pink and fairies right now. Glitter, feathers, anything she can glue for a sort of mixed media collage would thrill her. Her bedroom colors are pink and aqua in a fairy theme. Just not Disney fairies, please. More the traditional or Waldorf type of fairies.
