I am a native Floridian now living in the midwest, and always missing the ocean. I am a Christian, a wife, a speech/language pathologist, a member of Toastmasters International and a volunteer for the Alzheimer's Association. I have a Westie (dog), and too many activities and hobbies, including public speaking, paper arts, exchanging mail art, flea markets and resale shops, reading, hot tea, decorating around the house and indoor gardening, cooking, walking. I love meeting people from different countries, learning about their cultures, trying their food, etc. Likes: Sea shells/beach/ocean, hot tea, house plants, art museums, science museums, anachronisms like fountain pens and skeleton keys, colors: sage greens, turquoise, red.

Favorite Crafts

Rubber stamping, altered books, mail art, and origami.

Favorite Music

Motown, pop/rock of the 80's, "Music from the Hearts of Space" (radio program), and a little bit of almost everything else, including classical, jazz, steel drums, and blue grass

Favorite Television

Regenesis (Canadian SciFi), Star Trek and Star Gate series, Numbers, Fringe, The Mentalist, Lie to Me, Bones

Favorite Books

I read a lot of non-fiction related to my various interests. Love Barbara Hodgeson's beautifully illustrated novels. If you like Nick Bantock, check her out!

Comment: Thanks for a beautiful envelope. I guess, since you are the coordinator, I can admit that I misunderstood this swap - I thought we were supposed to decorate the envelope FOR the person, and not send them their own decorated unused envelope inside an undecorated envelope. The envelope you sent me is really a work of art, and a treat because now I can use it myself, too!

Had an idea of what I planned to do & could never make it work, then started playing around with other ideas-- and it came together... anyway, yours was very nice (and I loved the bird on the windowsill!

I like the varied stamps you used to complete this Egyptian ATC and the varied colors added to the display. Addition of the fibers was a positive move as well.
