I'm a 20-something lady living in the Boston suburbs. I work in the city at a cancer hospital and unwind by being crafty (knitting, sewing, quilting, cross-stitching), baking, taking pictures, and kayaking, when the river isn't frozen!! I'm getting married next year and a lot of my crafting has been wedding-oriented, so some swaps will be a wonderful break! I have two pet birds, a cockatiel named Lily who is actually a boy. He gives kisses, wolf whistles, composes his own songs, and can say "pretty bird" "hi pretty birdie" "hi baby" "how are you" and "I love you." I have a chill parakeet named Charlie Brown. They're both rescue birds and I love them to pieces - I'm hoping to add more rescue animals to the menagerie once fiance joins me up here (he still lives in NYC!)

I love a lot of different types of music, but here's what's popular in my iTunes library: movie soundtracks, Rilo Kiley, The Killers, Amy Winehouse, Jem (the DJ, not the lady with the pink hair from the 80's), A Fine Frenzy, Brandi Carlile, Britney Spears, Jay-Z, Rachael Yamagata, Miriam Makeba, Regina Spektor, U2, Imogen Heap, Nirvana, Old School Rap, Hip-Hop, Emo Bands (yup), my college acapella groups, African music, especially East and South African, Wolf Parade, Little Jackie, MIA, Lil' Wayne (though I am slightly embarrassed by this lol).

Cross stitch, knitting, sewing, quilting, scrapbooking....I am just barely learning to crochet and have to admit it kinda rocks, even though I'm bad at it!
