When I was in quarentine for my cancer treatment, two people sent me private swap post cards. My children put them away since I couldn't touch them and now I can't find them to acknowledge your kindness. If you sent me them, please contact me!
I am a Special Education teacher / part-time school leader and foster parent. I also am an adoptive parent of three rowdy sons.
I live in southern coastal Texas. I am from Michigan and enjoy the seasons, but do not get to see them here.
I read a lot, so I don't have favorites. I loved the Boxcar Children when I was young, Anne of Green Gables, Little Women. Now I tend to move toward quick reads by Debbie McComber and Nora Roberts.
I have tons of children's books and enjoy reading culturally related children's books.
I am a HUGE biggest loser fan. I love Bob. I tolerate Jillian. I like the Peguins of Madagascar, that lemur has a wicked sense of humor.
I also watch Survivor and absolutely loving Russell right now.
My craft really is writing. I write short stories, children's books and poetry. I have a blog, but am going through a rough spot and haven't written in it in a while.
Things I like:
I have realized now from doing so many swaps that I am not picky. I do like stuff that has meaning to you. If you sent me something silly, but it has meaning it would be the greatest.
I do like: wooden Cats, nesting dolls, post cards, stamps, old coins, old pictures (I don't need to know the people), sentimental things that may have meaning to you and that you want to share with me.
I have my own blog that goes through the ups and downs of fighting cancer. I am in a bit of a personal slump at this moment, but hope that after my cancer results in December, my sun will shine again.

Hi Barbie, I've got you as one of my partners for the bucket list swap and having lots of fun making my list. I'm almost done with it and will send it out to you in the next couple of days. : )
I cover my homemade postcards in clear contact paper, and they have all gotten delivered fine :) I haven't sent any internationally yet, but I'm sure it would be okay.
It would have been TOO funny if you and I had been partnered up for Filled journal Swap. I've been working on mine but I am no where near to the point of having it filled up.
I sent you a friend request. They didn't have one for sister, so I guess that means we have to be friends. Blessings Barbi.
