Who or What Am I? ...questions I've been trying to answer all my life. The crusade to find one's self is often foggy, far worse than the fogs of London and denser than the swirling masses of gaseous matter and debris surrounding a star, except it's all in my head. Indiscernible to myself and others. A kind of fixed question mark.
I'm a stationary, school supply fiend, so papers, card, pens, pencils, erasers, stickers, journals, etc. make me very giddy. I absolutely love and collect vintage, homemade, and found things. There was a really awesome bug-eyed bunny at my local farmer's market recently. The lady wanted $5, and I couldn't haggle her down. I absolutely love to haggle, bargain, thrift, garage sale, flea market shop. You never know what you'll find. I'm a cheap thrills kind of girl, so by all means if you plan to shop, $1 stores are fine. I love to see what I can get for under $10. My husband says I'm an impulse shopper. Good thing I like second hand, gently used, recycled stuff. I'm not picky though. In consideration of all that I've said, just be creative. I like surprises.

I don't have a favorite craft right now, but I do collect some things as a hobby. Besides my personal library of books--cookbooks, classical fiction, fine arts and crafts, self-help and spirituality--I can't resist collecting feathers. They always make me feel hopeful for some reason. So, when I see one on the ground, I'm drawn to it like a magnet. My most recent favorite feather is one from a blue jay. The blue is so brilliantly bright, vibrant. I have a friend who has a fowl farm of sorts with wandering ducks, geese, pigeon, squab, several varieties of roosters and hens, turkeys, and even a peacock. In the past, I've collected quite a bit from them. Turkey quills are so much fun to write with which leads me to my next passionate collection of drawing/writing journals, stationary, and school supplies. I'm so giddy when the back to school supplies go on sale. I'll take a fresh bouquet of sharpened pencils just as I would flowers any day.
