You might be addicted to swap-bot if...
... you wander through stores looking more at what you might be able to buy one of your partners rather than what you can buy for yourself.
... the mailman's arrival is the highlight of your day.
... you spend hours perusing profiles.
... you're constantly looking for new and interesting swaps to join.
... you're constantly trying to think of new and interesting swaps to START.
... instead of "how was your day?" your husband greets you with "so, do any swapping today"?
Please comment or PM me if you want to add yours. If it strikes my fancy I will add it and give you credit.
My name is Cynthia.
I just returned to work after a year long maternity leave. It was a tough transition but I'm getting used to it slowly but surely. I love my job but it's hard leaving the kids every day.
I'm 39 and my kids are:
Abby: 3.5
Jack: 13 months
My husband is 42 in case anyone cared about HIS age.

By the way, if you ever get me for a recipe swap I much prefer my recipes on 8.5x11" paper as I keep a recipe binder.
I am not very crafty but that doesn't mean I don't LOVE to get your homemade gifts. As well, I am comPLETELY fine with second-hand stuff (as long as it's in good condition).
I LOVE one on one swaps so if you see anything that piques your interest please message me.
I love music. Much of my life is connected with a song. I often think one day I should put together a soundtrack of my life. I lean towards lyric-based folk music.
- Jann Arden
- the waifs
- Del Amitri
- Sara Groves
- David Gray
- Josh Ritter
- Jeremy Fisher
Also, my oven mitts are pretty much shot so if you're looking for an idea and can't think of any, there's one. (My kitchen is in orange but I'm really not fussy.)
And, (in case you hadn't gathered yet, I spend a lot of time in the kitchen) I collect cookbooks with a fervor that is unhealthy.
Oh yeah, one thing that's NOT kitchen related: My Christmas tree is done in silver and white and ice blue, mostly with snowflakes, snowmen and stars. So, there's another idea for you.
And also, things that I've loved from other countries that I'd love to receive again:

Just checking to see if you received the hot chocolate swap I sent.
Hi Cynthia! I just wanted to make sure that you recieved my "Mix CD Scavenger Hunt v.3" swap -- I noticed I'm missing a rating from you and wanted to check in to make sure it made it! If not, please let me know and I'll re-send right away! Happy swapping! :)
Thank you so much for the wonderful kids CD! It is such an awesome mix of different artists - I love mix cd's! We've been sick all week so I am going to put it on sometime today to enjoy. :-) Thanks for brightening up my (and my kids) day!
Thanks for the Sept. wish. The girls are like their mom and like bath stuff. :)
OMG! You MUST join the December Birthdays swap!!! I love your comment. "Oh, a Christmas baby!"
Are you going to do a mix cd scavenger hunt v 4?
Thanks for angeling the cd swap! I'm glad to have gotten a cd and I'm sure I will enjoy listening to it tomorrow in the car. Thank you for looking out for us. I got flaked on by both partners, thank you for making sure I didn't turn up empty handed. Great host!
Cynthia, You are the bestest hostest with the mostest..thank you SO SO MUCH for angeling for my flaked "Mix CD Scavenger Hunt" CD...I LOVE LOVE LOVE the CD you made....and I have to say, the song "Stuck On You" by Josh Ritter made me laugh, especially when paired with the explanation of the whole "scientist parents' thing...
And, the Sara Groves song, "I Can't Wait",...well, I think as a mother we all get the same emotion from those lyrics'! It's crazy how much your life changes when you have children..did you ever think you could love something so much as when you held that little baby?? Whatever happens when we have children, it's some kind of chemical reaction...!! Maybe Josh Ritter has an explanation for it..hahaha...
Thanks again SO VERY MUCH, I appreciate all the time you took to make me this great CD..you are AWESOME, girl!! (wish i could give you some hearts....!) --Your swap pal, Sandi--
