I have been flaked on swap-bot more times than I can count and I'm getting quite discouraged by the whole thing. Plus, I'm getting really weary of spending $20 on a swap and looking at the person's profile to see what they might like and wrapping it nicely only to get crap that I don't want or need or ask for in return. It used to be so much fun but it's not so much anymore. And then to top it off they take away cd swaps, my favorite? Sigh. I think it's time to go to one-on-one or email swaps only.
My name is Cynthia.
I'm 40 and my kids are:
A: 5
J: 2.5
My husband is 43 in case anyone cared about HIS age.

By the way, if you ever get me for a recipe swap I much prefer my recipes on 8.5x11" paper as I keep a recipe binder.
I am not very crafty but that doesn't mean I don't LOVE to get your homemade gifts. As well, I am comPLETELY fine with second-hand stuff (as long as it's in good condition).
I LOVE one on one swaps so if you see anything that piques your interest please message me.
I love music. Much of my life is connected with a song. I often think one day I should put together a soundtrack of my life. I lean towards lyric-based folk music.

Also, my oven mitts are pretty much shot so if you're looking for an idea and can't think of any, there's one. (My kitchen is in orange but I'm really not fussy.)
And, (in case you hadn't gathered yet, I spend a lot of time in the kitchen) I collect cookbooks with a fervor that is unhealthy.
Oh yeah, one thing that's NOT kitchen related: My Christmas tree is done in silver and white and ice blue, mostly with snowflakes, snowmen and stars. So, there's another idea for you.
And also, things that I've loved from other countries that I'd love to receive again:

Hi! I'm in your recipe exchange and was stopping by your profile. I find it sad that you've been on the bad end of swaps. I don't have much experience with them except a couple candy ones that are on going with some penpals.
I also noticed you like silver jewerly but not gold. Finally someone who agrees with me! I've been made fun of since I was little because I didn't like gold jewerly. I'm a little better now though. I can actually wear it without feeling cheap. :P Well I wish you great luck and hope you don't completely ditch the awesomeness of swaps! K.

Oh My goodness I can't believe you were flaked on an angelled swap!
Was wondering if you could send me your address so I could angel a swap for you that I read on your profile :D
Thank you so much for the yummy chocolates for the WTA #23 on Edible Swappers! :)
Thank you very much for the cute snowmen fridge magnets you sent me for my December wishlist in the Wishlist Group. They went straight onto our fridge! Have a Happy Christmas! :o)
Thank-you so very much for the adorable snowman magnets as a wish granted from my December Wishlist!
Oh my goodness - what a great mix! Thank you so much for the funny music CD from November Wishlist; I am so glad you took on the challenge! I hadn't heard most of these songs before, with one exception: "Neighbourhood Song" by Veda Hille. Veda wrote that song while living less than a block from where I live now; she's singing about my neighbourhood! (We have fewer junkies now, though.) Thank you again - this CD will provide me with many smiles in the future.
