Have one grown son, 3 grandchildren (age 4, 8, & 11) and I hate that they are growing up. I miss my babies.
I'm a cat lover. Have only one currently, Finn, 1 year old.
I love all things arts and crafts. But especially crochet, knitting, and ATCs.
I work full-time as a techie and trainer for a public library. I'm really looking forward to retirement in a few years. A time when spoiling my grandchildren will be my full time job.
I collect vintage linens, old books (pre 1940) and crochet patterns. Especially the old 10 cent books and toy patterns.
I crochet, knit, sew a little, scrapbook, ATCs, spin and weave, though I don't weave as much as I used to. I tend to mix up my crafting, I love trying new things and then going back to the old and familiar.
Summers are short in Michigan, but I manage to have a small herb garden to play in.
I work full-time as a computer trainer and network administrator for a public library...but am looking forward to retirement in a couple of years.
I collect vintage linens and ephemera. I never use the original ephemera in my ATCs though...I make color copies for that. I do use original pages from old books. I have lots of old books: dictionaries, childrens books, magazines, etc. They are plentiful at thrift stores and flea markets so I don't mind using them.
I'm just getting into needle felting. I think I'm going to like it. I've also just started my first wet felted wool on silk scarf. Not sure how it will turn out yet, but it's fun do.
I really like making small things, I guess that's what drew me to ATCs in the first place.
My favorite music is harp music; therefore, I listen to a lot of celtic CDs. I'm also a fan of Enya and classic rock.
I love books! Never met a book I didn't like. But I do have some favorite authors such as Janet Evanovich, Nora Roberts (just her trilogies), and MaryJanice Davidson. Although, I do read a variety of books and authors for my job. I really enjoy authors that make me laugh.
I'm not a huge fan of TV since it takes me away from my crafts. But I do enjoy Two and a Half Men and the new Mentalist. I also like older sitcoms.
Again, I love to crochet, knit, and do ATCs. But I really like making small things, the smaller the better. I've made 2" jointed teddy bears in both crochet and fabric, my next challenge will be one that is 1". I've also made doll clothes for the old 3"plastic baby dolls from the 50s. My granddaughter loves little things that fit in her hand, so I try to make her one of all my tiny things.
I enjoy collage in both fabric and paper. I want to start a fabric art journal this winter. My wish list just keeps a growin'. It will be another new experience for me. I don't always finish everything I start...but I always have to give things a try. That's how I found out I will never be an artist with brush or pen. I have no talent there, but I love the work of those who do have it.
I like fairies, anything celtic and blue. I'm a collector of bookmarks (been collecting since I was a child so I have lots!) and vintage linens, pretty things like dishes and silver, espeically anything handmade. I love thrift shops, antiques shops, auctions and other places where I might find some treasure. It's such a thrill to find something you really love. I also collect vintage jewelry, especially pins. I buy almost every one I find, well, the reasonable ones. Some vintage jewelry can get pretty pricy. I love my herb garden and the outdoors (in the spring, summer and fall, but winter is not my favorite time to be outdoors.) I enjoy all flowers, though I'm not much of a gardener. I prefer plants that I can stick in the ground and they keep coming up year after year. That's probably why I like herb gardening. They're easy. In my retirement I'd like to move closer to my grandchildren and buy a small farm...small as it 5-10 acres! Just to have a little bit bigger garden, and a few animals. I currently live on a lake in a busy resort town. It's nice, but I'd like a little more quiet.
I love: *vintage ephemera *Vintage linens *Pottery bowls - the smaller ones *Vintage Pins *Garnets *crochet patterns (pre 1985) especially toys, holiday and small household items. *Pre 1960 advertising items, glasses, mugs, plates, tinware, even ashtrays(they make great candle holders), but no shot glasses please. *Anything with faeries on it.(not the little kiddie type faeries, but those that look like women) *Herb prints, papers, notecards, just about anything with herbs on it. *Some cat items, especially black and white cats or all black cats. *Beads or interesting buttons (mostly vintage) *Old books especially with interesting illustrations.
I'm a real fan of getting something unexpected tucked in with my ATC, however, since I don't really know what medium many of my partners work in I don't often send extra supplies...instead I add an extra card or two. After all, if we're trading ATCs, you must collect them. And it increases my chances of sending a card you'll like.

Hi, you are one of my partners for the ATC with a pocket swap... just wanted you to know I'm gonna be a little late getting it out... This week has been crazy! :) Have a great weekend!
Your fantastically fantabulous WICKED ATCs have arrived! Thank you so much, I absolutely love them all. I think I might have to get the book off the shelf and marvel it's magnificence once again, alongside your beautiful ATCs. Thanks for the swap! xo
I am also a huge fan of little tiny things! Welcome to Swap-bot!
