so, you found my slice of heaven! lucky for you.

i'm a lot of things- jess, 30, thinker, creator, maker, dabbler... but most of all i'm just jess. i'm totally laid back with crazed moments of this or that. but, hey, aren't we all mad here?

i sing old songs and make up songs, too. i spend time reading, writing, blogging, working, reading, walking, laughing, doodling, painting, sewing, reading, dabbling, & reading.

i am not perfect. so, if that is your expectation, best back away slowly and forget that you came here. i always do my best, and that standard that i hold myself to could very well lack a fry or two from your happy meal. i'm okay with this. you should be too! :o)

when i put a swap package together, i do read your profile at least once. i ask you do the same for me. i try my best to give things (handmade or bought) that i think you'll enjoy. because that's what i'd like others to do for me.

if you do not receive something from me, PM before you give me a rating of 1. i will do this for you, as well. if you do not feel i followed the swap guidelines, contact me before giving me a 3, and i will gladly resend your swap. i believe that is fair to me & you.

i will love anything handmade if you have put time & effort into it. i am not a snob & i appreciate, love, & adore your effort. so, i will never tell you your art is ugly, as i'm not one to judge your ability or technique. & if you read my profile and take my likes into consideration, i'll be thrilled with what i receive! ;o)

& i am newbie friendly :: i will not bully the new guy!

i send swaps on or before the send date. if you do not receive a package, PM me. most items (other than postcards, zines, and letters) will have a delivery confirmation. :o) if i haven't been rated by you, i'll PM you to see if you've received my package. i don't stress over being rated, but if you are unwilling to rate, i just want to know so i can archive the swap. :o)

in the case that i can't send on or before the swap deadline, i'll pm you to tell you when i'll be sending. life happens to all of us.

i rate in a timely matter. if i haven't rated you, i haven't received from you. i'll PM to ask if you've sent the item after all rating options are available. i will not rate a one until i have heard from you. if you ignore me, you will receive a one. there are exceptions and life happens. i'm fair and not easily annoyed when dealing with swappers, so just be honest if you're having trouble and it effects a swap we're in! easy as that, i tell ya. i don't yell, cuss, or bite. i just appreciate honesty.

a note about hearts

the heart system is ambiguous. most of the swaps i'm in involve handmade crafting. those will get a heart because you took time to make me something fabulous.

i don't give hearts for extras sent. so, please to not overload the package in an attempt to wow me. i'm part of a swap for the content of the swap not the possibility of extra items.

i rarely send extras. this is because i've taken my time, money, resources and put them into the swap itself. and if i'm given a heart, i want it to be clearly given for the appreciation of what i sent.

if you are sent extras, it's because i clearly knew they were something you'd enjoy from reading your profile. i do not expect to be given a heart because i sent extra items.

hearts are nice. they make us feel all gooey and wonderful inside, however a five without a heart is just as fabulous, fo'realz.
