I'm 29 and my birthday is on April 6th.
I grew up in Chicagoland, but I've considered the San Francisco Bay area my home since mid-2000.
I have a background in creative writing, but work as an interaction designer (web).
I like being crafty, especially with paper (making envelopes!), either on my own or in good company.
I am drawn to all things Japanese, including aspects of traditional and pop culture.
I adore hamsters.
paper crafts, cards, envelopes, postcards, collage, stationery, design, color
Paper (handmade, printed, Japanese, whatever); Paint chips and other colorful things or color samples; Stationery (letter sets, memo pads, etc.); Stickers; Japan/Japanese things; Hamsters (anything with or about them!); Handmade items, especially ones I can't or don't make myself; Rubber stamps and stamping supplies, especially handcarved stamps; Chocolate, especially dark varieties; Candy, snacks, and other food items from outside the US, especially strange ones; Tea or coffee; Pens, especially colorful or neat-looking ones; Little toys (plush or plastic or otherwise); Magazines, especially crafty or colorful ones; Books; Music CDs (mix or otherwise); Postcards; Purses or totebags;
Anything religious, including holiday items; Hello Kitty; Disney; Diddl; Barbie; Looney Tunes; Country-style crafts or items; Anything with teddy bears, kittens, or super-cutesy things that little old ladies like; Cosmetics (make-up, perfume, bath items); Candles, incense, wax tarts; Earrings (my ears aren't pierced); Clothing; Scarves; Hats; Jelly beans; Licorice; Food with high fructose corn syrup or other nasty chemicals and preservatives; Embroidery floss (I have too much as it is!); Paint (I have enough); Anything junky (only send things you'd like to receive yourself); Your business card
For kawaii swaps: I don't like Sanrio as much as San-X, Kamio, Q-Lia, and other companies. The quirkier the better. My favorites are Nyan Nyan Nyanko, anything with hamsters, anything with Japanese foods or traditional Japanese themes/patterns.
I like lots of different colors, but I guess some of my favorites are green, blue, and pink.
