Favorite stuff

I'm fond of all kinds of paper ephemera and use it in collage, artist books, and mixed media projects. I spend a lot of time in art museums worshiping at the shrines of Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, Surrealist, and Expressionist artists. Currently my favorites are Francis Bacon, Lucian Freud, and Joseph Cornell. I enjoy photography, and I design and print some of my own postcards. I like handmade stuff. My aesthetic is more wabi-sabi than kawaii.

Favorite themes

Typography, art, vintage advertising and travel, food and drink (I'm a fan of craft beer). I love the old and the strange, especially related to science, technology, and geography. Steampunk rules; edgy is excellent!

Things I don't like

I don't watch TV and I'm not religious. Cute sets my teeth on edge. And I loathe Xmas music.

Comment: It was really weird all right, and really huge! Surprisingly it arrived intact -- not even a bent corner. Amazing considering the way the PO often mangles normal sized pcs. Would love to hear about your adventures in Budapest.

Response: Oh yay - so glad it arrived safely! It's always a little nerve wracking sending something out naked into the world. I used a Xyron to adhere the background, washi tape for decor, and a layer of Mod Podge to seal. The Xyron is kinda pricey, but I love it - I tend to make a big mess with liquid glues.
