I love world music, rich singers and good rhythms. I also like chilled guitar to listen to and to play. I am learning guitar and to use my voice which has been a wonderful and inspiring thing this winter. i love to play percussion which is mainly drumming but i will try anything.

Musical artists that I adore include the begoodtanyas, loren, jez, ani defranco, the waifs, gotye, holly throsby, penelope swales, michael franti, xavior rudd, gomez, elixer, dead can dance, bernard fanning, ben harper, tim minchin, mountain man, and more. I like some choir music and singing kirtan. My favourite is to share music with whoever to sing, dance and be merry together.

I am a wild succulant woman living at myrtle mountain on the south coast of NSW Australia. I live with my two gorgeous children Maia and Finn bee (10 and 4) I love walking through the forest to the other houses on our property and visiting our folk. I love looking at mushrooms, drawing, sharing, eating and most specially people.

I love making things, all sorts of anything that inspires me at the time such as knitting neck warmers, painting pictures, doll making, making paper, sculpting and almost always cooking.

Yoga and spiritual practice is really important to me and i like wearing odd socks. i get grumpy when i am hungry or tired. I am bored of tv and movies and i spend my evenings making, talking, loving, playing and being.

I have attended several births as a doula at home and in hospital and i get on really well with babies.I am currently looking for ways to expand that path. I am passionate about local food production and community gardens. I also like getting involved with community bush regen. activities and am inspired about riparian zones and clean rivers.

I am really into acknowledging the pagan ceremonial times through out the year and i like to worship the earth, the sun and the moon. I also love water and rain and i believe strongly in magic, just magic.

Some of my favourite books are Bliss by Peter Carey. That has stayed at the top for around eight years now. The Harry Potter series (J.K. Rowling) is brilliant. Spiritual Midwifery by Ina May Gaskin is another fave. Herbs and Things by Jeanne Rose is full of fascinating herbal folklore and recipes such as how to become invisible and how to enchant a broomstick. Poetry and stories by Kahlil Gibran poetry by my friend jeff The education of little tree by Francis Carter anything by Michael leunig Women who run with the wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes I have been reading bits of for years and i keep coming back to it and reading it over again and discovering new things. Healing with Wholefoods by Paul Pitchford I love anything by Barbera Kingsolver and Jeanette Winterson.

I love craft in all shapes and forms and i always have. I love needle felting all sorts of things and i am getting better at knitting whichis fun as i can make more things. I especially like making toys. I like making cloth dolls and i have recently discovered these delightful little dolls that are made out of pipe cleaners and felt. I love painting and i recently discovered that all these years i have been collecting beautiful cards, gift cards and postcards so rediscovering those has inspired me to collect and even try and make cards. I like buttons and beads just to look at and hold and sometimes use for the perfect occasion. My passion at the moment (oct 08) is basketry. I have been collecting local materials eg. wisteria canes and bullrushes from the river. I am finding it really interesting in incorporating strips of cotton and bits of wire and old electrical wires.

Now (may 2011) I am painting, drawing, paper making, tipi building, earth building, cooking and music.

Hi, my name is Maia, I have brown hair, opal eyes and i am quite tall. we also have a cat called Jemima, we used to have chickens but they all got eaten by foxes. These are the things I like: Harry potter, books, movies, chocolate, sweets, candy and. I also like buttons.

My favourite animals are cats, My favourite books are Harry potter and my favourite food is pizza.

I like making things, like little boxes out of thread, socks and especially things for Jemima. I have two best friends called Indigo and Jiyah.
