3/24/2020- UPDATE SOON- so many changes in my life, including a move and a grandbaby. I will be updating this section soon. Stay tuned....
My cat had kittens the other day. I am trying to upload a picture here. Let's see if it works. **** love swap-bot and want to make all swaps a good experience for everyone. I send out all my swaps on time (if I am going to be late for an unseen reason I will PM you). If you do not receive something please PM me prior to rating and if something has been lost in the mail I will send a replacement. * A quick note about the one '3' I received. This was an item that I sent out but was never received. I ended up sending a profile gift as a make-up for this and it was received. Please PM me if you would like further information regarding this.
About Rating: It is my intention to rate every swap I receive. Please PM with the name of the swap and what you sent I do not rate something that you have sent.
About Me: Updated 4/25/2017 I realized that I had not updated this in awhile and there have been a lot of changes. I am now 44- for a little while more anyhow. I am divorced. It's been about two years. My children are older- my eldest daughter is 19, my son is almost 17 and my "baby" will be 12 in June. We had two dogs, a mini wiener dog and a black lab, but I had to re-home them. My daughter has a cute little doggie named Daisy and they both live here so I get my dog fix when they are home. I also now am a cat owner again. After our last cats I promised NO MORE. But, my son, decided to get a kitten for his then girlfriend. He did not ask her parents permission and hence I have Maggie. I fell in love with her. She follows me everywhere, She is my shadow. I graduated with my B.A. in Elementary Education at 40 years old and am now in my 4th year teaching. I teach 4th grade this year and I am loving it.
When not grading paper or spending time with the family, I enjoy playing Candy Crush on my phone or just browsing pinterest and Facebook. I have slowed down on my swaps during the school year. I just get too overwhelmed. But, I am trying to choose a few now and then to participate in.
I listen to so many different genres of music on any given day from contemporary Christian to Popular to Country to Rap. It depends on my mood.
I like all types of books. I like historical Christian romance quite a bit. I also enjoy Nora Roberts, Luanne Rice, Danielle Steel, etc... I love the all the books in the Twilight series and am about to start reading them again. *** My newest favorite authors are Beverly Lewis and Wanda Brunstetter*** I love reading the Amish Christian fiction a few years ago: last year discovered YA fiction and read the Hunger Games series and some other YA fiction that I really enjoyed. Update: I still like the books above but I recently read some Jodi Picoult that I really enjoyed. I don't have much time for fiction right now that I am teaching. I think reading fiction will be mostly a summer thing. 4/2017- I found another favorite author Robyn Carr- and I read fiction during the school year still. :-)
Twilight, The Thing Called Love, Stand By Me, Breakfast Club, The Notebook, Dirty Dancing, The Sound of Music, Frozen. (those are just some of my favorites)
Big Brother, Bacherlorette,Brothers and Sisters, How I met your Mother, House Hunters,Survivor, Revenge, The Walking Dead, Revolution. Update thanks to Netflix: The Secret Life of the American Teenager, The 100 and I cannot believe I did not have this listed already- Grey's Anatomy! 4/2017 a few new favorite tv shows. Timeless, Frequency and I just got hooked on Shameless. I am on season three on Netflix. It is so bad, it's good.
