About Me

I am a foodie and writer by profession and calling. I am interested in all kinds of ehtnic cuisines and vegetables and foreign foods, in particular I love Indian and South East Asian foods. I am married to my soul-mate, and live in Hamburg, Germany (that's north of 53° latitude),

I am allergic to hazelnuts, so please don't send me food items containing filberts / hazelnuts (especially chocolate). I love all kinds of foreign candy and chocolates, the more exotic the better. I prefere pure teas to flavored ones, but I'm not limited to those. I am allergic to MSG as well, so that's a no-no, too. Anything else I'll try happily, and feel free to contact me for private food swaps.

Anything scifi, and great biographies, the books of Neal Stephenson, the Temperance Brennan mysteries by Kathy Reichs, books by Michael Connelly. The Philip K. Dick biography by Lawrence Sutin. Anything from Bill Bryson. Alan Dean Foster's Homanx Universe, MZB's Darkover. Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer, and many many more...

Comment: Yum!! This swap came just in time for a trip with my high school friends (to the beach) so I shared! Nothing better than lying on your back on a deck by the beach, listening to the surf, counting shooting stars, and sharing chocolate!! :)
