My name is Carly, I'm 24 and am going back to college for culinary arts - so excited! I was a music teacher the past 2 years and still love music. I have played flute since 4th grade and also play guitar.
I live in the farm-lands of Maine with my boyfriend who is a forester and my dog Jake, a black lab.
Almost anything, love classic rock, some punk, folk like Ani DiFranco, other artists like Tori Amos, Fiona Apple, also things like M.I.A... quite a variety :)
I love to knit and crochet. I usually have quite a few projects going at once - mostly scarves, dish clothes and blankets (straight things!). I also like to do some beading and make jewelry, mostly earrings. I think making things with your own hands is rewarding especially if it is for someone else because it means so much more than going out to the store and just buying something.
I LOVE to cook! As I said earlier I'm going back to school for culinary arts and I am very excited. I'm not so much into baking, but I love to make food that is delicious and anybody can enjoy. Nothing too fancy or anything that looks too complicated or too pretty to eat.
I also love tea. I drink it EVERY morning and now that it's getting cooler outside I have a few cups throughout the day. My favorite is probably earl grey, but I love all kinds of tea, except anything with jasmine in it. Chamomile or peppermint tea is great to drink after dinner and I like green tea as well. I like full leaf loose tea the best, maybe because I like the way it looks, but the tea just seems to taste better that way anyway, but bagged tea is great too :)

I am glad you and your family enjoyed the roasted vegetable chili. It is one of my favorites : ) Dotty
