Hi there! I stumbled upon your profile from over at Geek Central and saw that you liked girl vocals and happy pop music and I was wondering if you'd ever heard of 'The Pipettes'? If not, I definitely recommended them. Oh! And 'Lucky Soul', as well. {the song "lips are unhappy" is wonderful}
Belle and Sebastian are lovely :) I'll definately check out the others you recommended, I need some new music :D If you haven't heard of Psapp, you might like the album Tiger, My Friend (bit more electronic, but still lovely.) A favourite song of mine on that album is Curuncula :). You may also like (if you haven't already heard!).. Tegan and Sara, Architecture in Helsinki (the album In Case We Die) and Peppermoon. I noticed we have some favourite music in common, I love Au Revoir Simone and Camera Obscura - I saw C.A. last year at a festival too, they were great!
