I am married with 2 teenage children which are independent homeschoolers. I live in a rural area in a home we built. We are off grid using solar power. So all my computer correspondences are solar powered yeah! We lived for a year with no electricity at all before we were able to get solar power system up. It was fantastic experience.
Nature is very important to me and I like arts and crafts that reflect nature.

world music epecially music from Brazil, Cuba, and Africa. Jazz of all types and Rock from Indie to oldies with a soft spot for 80's music.
I love watching all kinds of movies. My guilty pleasures are action/ adventure films and scifi where the good guys always win. Will Smith rocks! I also love more sutble and complex films as well. I just love Dance movies also like Strictly Ballroom and Step up We get no TV so I love movies and I'm fine if you send me any "back-up" copies you've made.
Here is a short list of favorites: Meet Joe Black, Dan in Real Life, I am Legend, The Illusionist, Princess Bride, everything Star Trek, all the LOTR movies, The list could go on for a very long time
cooking and preserving food, gardening, reading, herbs for cooking, healing and crafting, knitting, I started to make notecards and postcards so I would enjoy biggish (not ATC size) patterned papers and card making supplies ohhh blank cards with envelopes I would love! I've been drying a bunch of homegrown and wild collected herbs for tea blends, herbal bath bags and popourri (spelling?)
I really enjoy reading non-fiction such as real life adventures or how-to books also books about great people. I do love engaging plot-driven books too. Here are a few of the books I've read recently: Catch me if you can (about a infamous con-man) Mary Russell and Sherlock Holmes mysteries, My Guantanamo Diary, Not by the Sword and..... I have a horrible time remember the titles of the books I've read.
I like all kinds of foods spicy and exotic Indian, Mexican, Thai,Chinese, all asian ect.. I love trying new recipes and I recently have been getting into more healthful eating and whole grains. UPDATE: my daughter is becoming vegetarian so all the rest of us have cut down drastically on eating meat. I would love more ethnic and vegetarian recipes or cookbooks. I still have my sweet tooth and love baked goods and candies I like all fruits. I drink more tea than coffee. But I do like coffee mixes.
I really prefer things scented with natural essences. I like clean scents like lemon, honeydew melon, pine, herbs such as lemon verbena, lavender, rosemary, sage, Spicey scents like cinnamon are good but not vanilla or really floral smells. Light florals are OK

Thank you so much for the beautiful wish package you sent for [Another Time, Another Place] November wishlist. I loved your note and the gorgeous Victorian notecard, the beads and charms are something truly special, too and will be set aside to use on something for me to remember you by.
So sorry I haven't gotten your note about Autumn out yet. I had the shock of my life on Halloween and since then I've been in a fog (I'll write you all about it). I'm getting back to normal though and will sit down this afternoon and write a nice long letter. ...Jen
