I am a teacher, mother of three children, live and work at the countryside. I like gardening, cooking, baking, reading and letter writing. I am not very sporty but love walking, mountain hiking and trips in nice weather. My husband is a teacher as well.
I like all music which is not too loud and wild, I prefer folk songs, country music, traditional songs. I like singing and dancing, too.
Historical books, mainly from medieval time. Favourite writers: Ken Follett, Noah Gordon, Phillip Vandenberg. Detective stories: Agatha Christie, Sandra Brown. English classics, mainly Jane Austen.
Everything with Hugh Grant, Collin Firth, with historical topics or Jane Austen adaptations.
It sounds a bit crazy but I love The Simpsons cartoon series. Marge Simpson is so likeable lady! Movies with old-fashioned detectives like Hercule Poirot.
Watch very rarely, mainly movies as mentioned above.
I am keen on all paper crafts - cutting ornaments, rubber stamping, quilling, tea bag folding and card making. I love working with nice, coloured paper and make cards.
I love drinking tea, all kinds. I used to be only green tea lover but now I drink also white sorts, flavoured or plain ones. So - green, white, NO BLACK please,.....I don´t mind roiboos, especially flavoured ones. Loose tea is OK with me, I really like trying new sorts. Herbal tea just if it is good for sleeping or relaxation as I often suffer with sleepless nights! Recently I have tried various sorts of YOGI teas - they are great!
I like nice papers, stickers, rubber stamps, stationary, embellishments for card making, paper decorations like die cuts as I do not own any of those big die cutting machines and similar items . I like to get tea to try new sorts, it always pleases me a lot. I have recently started beading. At the very beginning I have learnt how to make bead star ornaments and would like to learn how to make beaded jewelry. So if you are into beading and can share any ideas, bead supplies ( metal charms, for example ) you do not need or have no use for them, I will be glad to get them. Czech Republic is the country where lots of nice beads are made but in my opinion the choice of metal charms is not as rich as in other countries. I also started crocheting and love to relax with nice yarn and a hook.
I did not have my wishlist here for months but I was told it is useful for others, so here are the items I will be glad to receive:
paper for scrapbooking and cardmaking
embelishments for cardmaking, mainly flowers
stickers of all sorts, also the teacher´s motivating and awarding stickers ( I am a teacher! )
rubber or clear stamps, can be older ones but in a good state
ink pads for stamping of not very common colors
die cuts made by die cutting machines, I still do not have my own one!
supplies for beading, metal charms for bracelets
all sorts of green or white tea, mainly the ones that are not made in central Europe
anything connected to cardmaking and other papercrafts
nice kitchen aprons and dish towels
tea, tea and tea again !!
hand made coasters as I always have a cup of tea placed somewhere...
good fountain pen or a roller pen
.....hope it is enough, it makes me feel a bit self-centered to think about what I would like to receive.
I do not collect or need any of the following list:
postcards ( apart from Christmas ones which I recycle or use at school for teaching Christmas vocabulary))
poststamps
cute items like Hello Kitty and similar ones
bath items

Hello! I'm your partner for double happy-ness swap #2. I really love reading and detective stories, like you. I could suggest to you a book series set in the ancient greece, the main character is Aristotle that has to solve some misteries. The author is Doody and I love theese books! I wish I could learn beading someday, but I am too lazy for that. I started making some earrings with my friend's tools and it is funny! I've been in Prague some years ago, and I find that city really magic and artistic! I really love tea, like you, but I'm not very intereste in green teas, I love black flavoured teas! And I have a collection of cups, so I can choose everyday, according to my mood. I hope you all the best and I hope you like what I'm going to send you. Happy swapping!
Tea Lovers' Christmas Parcel swap is posted. Hope to see you in it!
