I'm a high school special education teacher, which requires way too much testing, record-keeping, and paperwork. My job limits my hobbies a bit, since there is always school work to do in the evenings and on weekends. I have two grown daughters and one granddaughter (and one grand-dog). I live with my two Schnauzers, who are good companions. We live in the country, and I enjoy doing yard work, growing flowers, and taking care of my property. I don't like housework though.
My favorite things are a full mailbox and all kinds of pretty paper. I like notepads, stationery, envelopes, address labels, stickers, etc. I love to swap FB's (in the US).
Love to read!!
I like anything with hummingbirds, morning glories, or ivy.
When I get the chance, I like to travel.
I enter on-line sweepstakes and play games on the computer, and spend a lot of time on the internet. I like to send for freebies and find bargains on-line. Also like to go to thrift shops, where I buy a lot of my books.
I like to listen to all kinds of music and I play the piano a little. Used to go to concerts back in the day :)
In the winter I feed the wild birds and in the summer I feed the hummingbirds. Love to watch all the critters around here.
I don't have much time to watch tv, but I like House, Wheel of Fortune, Lifetime Movies, Hallmark movies, Jeopardy, and The Biggest Loser.
I enjoy most books, but not Harlequins or mysteries. I especially like stories about pioneers and settlers going out West, stories of the Amish, contemporary romance, some biographies, and Christian fiction. A couple of my all-time favorite books are The Stand and Gone With the Wind. Some of my favorite authors are Kirsten Hannah, Dorothy Garlock, Jodi Picoult, and Pamela Morsi.
I collect bells from places that I've been, pretty dishtowels, stickers, used plastic phone cards, bookmarks, Disney pins, and pretty paper. Oh, and singing-dancing hamsters :)
