My name is Patricia and I love to make things. I have made two little humans who grew up into adults way too fast.

I am a wife, a mother, a sister and a friend who loves to sew more than anything else. Swapping has allowed me to create and share more of what I sew.

I grow concord grapes and make my own jam in the fall. It started with one small plant and one batch of jam a few years ago but once I tried the grape I had to follow up with peach, plum, apple butter and many more. I'd be happy to share if you want to swap for something.

I'm very interested in private swaps so just ask if you think I'd have something you want.

SEWING:

I would love to make you a tote bag, set of hot pads, a pillow, zippered pouch or mug rug.

I used to make quilts, blankets or couch throws all the time but lately I've found that I'm more interested in doing smaller projects that can be finished quickly.

I love fabric and never feel that I have enough. Hanging out in a fabric or quilting store and touching or smelling fabric relaxes and inspires me to create something new.

Ahoy Brause cola flavor candy from Germany is my most favorite candy in the world but now I have a new love - also from Germany. It's called Traubenzucker and is a roll of candies that disolve in your mouth very quickly. Cherry, Orange and Banana flavor are especially yummy. I love trying new candy, snacks, tea and hot cocoa from other countries.

On the rare occasion that I do join a food swap I guess I prefer things a bit plain. Hot & Spicy or extra added flavors don't do much for me.

I love caramel alone and in chocolate or anything else. I guess there's no such thing as too much caramel.

THIS BABY:

I love to read but rarely make time for it now that I've discovered Swap-bot. My free time is spent in the sewing room so I have no idea what's on the TV or at the movies and that suits me just fine.

First and foremost I have to give my opinion of @chilady61 who requested an unofficial swap where I would make her a tote bag and she would send me a gift card to Joann Fabrics. I sent my end of the deal and trusted that she would follow through but all I've received from her is a long list of excuses. She should have just asked me to make her the tote bag as an RAK because I would have done it. On her profile she says "And frankly to get a swap and not give in return is stealing and I equate a flaker with a thief". Hmmm.....I couldn't have said it better myself.

@happybunny for a private swap that she requested and I agreed to. It was sent from japan in early December 2012 but never received. At one point she said she was going to offer to resend then changed her mind based on me asking if she was on a temporary or permanent vacation. She says she doesn't "believe" in lost mail and that it's the sender's choice whether to resend or not. It seems easier to me to resend and have a perfect rating reinstated. If I ever receive I would be happy to change the rating.

@CraftyLass for a private profile based swap. Sadly, Heather left quite a few people waiting for a swap and it's hard to understand because she used to be a great swapper. I don't know what's happened to her and it makes me sad to think that she just gave up here with a semi-full dash.
