Hi :)) You're one of my partners for the "Read and Comment on your partner's profile!" Swap :))
I love reading as well, but one book I've always regretted never having read is "Dr Seuss"... I think it's a cultural thing :// You guys also have amazing books I would have loved reading as a child, like "Anne of Green Gables", but that I've only been able to read now, with a grown-up world view...
Is quilting difficult? I'm tempted to give it a go, but I don't know.. it looks tough :D
the first thing that caught my eye was Dr Seuss. I don't care much for his books, but I've never delved too deeply into them either. I've always preferred his paintings in all their surreal, brightly colored glory. I have a bizarre print of his of a cat with sandals. the title escapes me.
I just sat down and watched a few episodes of Bones for the first time last night. I think I still prefer the good old standby, Law and Order, to any of the newer crime shows.
I'm sorry to hear about the Lupus. it runs in my family and I went through all sorts of testing when I was young. thankfully I narrowly escaped it, though my mother had issues with another autoimmune disorder. I wish you the best.
Hello swap-bot friend. I hope all is well.Well some of the things we have in common would be; we're both children of the 60's. (The best years ever! LOL) and we both like animals, (I'm a cat person) and also we are mad about postcards! I can't seem to stop sending them! I have this crazy postcard fetish, I would love to have a huge collection for my daughters to (hopefully) enjoy looking through one day when I'm gone. I love earth tones as well and I decorate alot with them, I also love blue. Ocean blue, and sky blue. Beatiful colors.
I see that you like books. I recently finished reading "The Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold. Such a bittersweet story. I am about to begin reading "The Grapes of Wrath" by John Steinbeck. I have read more books in my 41 years on earth than you can shake a stick at.
I get "new" (to me) books alot from paperbackswap.com. As soon as I finish a book I list it so I can try to get something else I really want. My all time favorite book I think, was "The Good Earth" by Pearl S. Buck.
I also read you love fall. I do, as well. Although fall in Florida is much different than the fall I remember growing up in Maine.
It was so nice to get to "know" you a little through your profile. I hope that you have a lovely day today. Kind regards to you and yours, Lori. (Shabbypink123)
