APDG ~ Mythological Animals Series ~ A Amphisbaena is a creature from Greek mythology. It is an ant-eating serpent with a head at each end. Amphisbaena was spawned from the blood that dripped from Medusa's head as Perseus flew over the Libyan Desert with it in his hand. Amphisbaenae fed off of the corpses left behind in the desert.
