I'm retired, have some physical limitations and care for my husband who has had two strokes.

I don't much watch TV beyond the news, Jeopardy! and All Creatures Great and Small.

I read widely, and enjoy historical novels, poetry, biography and history.

My only social media is Mastodon.

Favorite Crafts

paper crafts and a little weaving. Arthritis limits how much handwork I can do.

I make and sell books and greeting cards

I do collage, mostly as art-as-therapy for myself, but will also do it on a smaller scale for swaps.

Two plans for 2026 are learning tab-binding to make a book of playing cards, and keeping a daily planner art journal.

Like to Receive

I am interested in private swaps for various items, please PM me if you would like to discuss doing a swap with me!

I like all colors, with a preference for blues/greens/purples, but again, I like all colors.

I don't need to receive extras in swaps to give a heart--I give hearts based on the swap itself--did you follow instructions/mail on time/make something nice, not did you send me stickers and washi tape and a couple of postcards...that said, I will often include a few extras in my swaps, if I have something I think you would like.

2026 update

My first Swap-Bot swap was in 2006, so this year is my 20th here!

I've been away from Swap-Bot for a while now...but am dabbling in again. Hope to renew some swapping friendships and make new ones.

I don't use AI in my own art, and I prefer not to use AI-generated art in my collages.

I also don't much like skulls or artwork focusing on death.

I prefer not to receive foods/teas in swaps, but do like book pages/gelli prints/collage and art journal materials.

Swap Philosophy

I always send my swaps, on time. I do my best to create something that follows the directive of the swap, and when possible, incorporates thing(s) that will be pleasing to my partner.

I have other commitments and obligations in my life, so I prefer to be involved in fewer swaps so that I can spend adequate time on each thing I make/do for a swap.

If you don't receive a swap I have marked sent, please contact me. If you receive a swap with postage due, please contact me.

Comment: Frogs! I LOVE frogs! My favorites are the tiny spring peepers ;+) This is such a fun design with the frog paper and images--I'm crazy for the one on the 'back' of the wallet with the celebrating frogs jumping around; is that a rubber stamp? Loved the enclosures as well, especially the embossed papers with the birds on them. What a wonderful swap--thank you!

Comment: Kathy, I love the card you made for me! Once again, I liked how yours turned out much better than mine though I used the glaze she had in the tutorial rather than the floor wax. I found the technique a bit messy as well, but would definitely try again. I also tried one sample using Mod Podge, but the glaze worked better. Thanks for the happy mail! 😃
