Description:

This is my first swap for this wonderful group so I hope members will enjoy it.

The Book Depository offers free delivery for most countries. Please check that your country is included in the list found on the website.

Please have a link to your Book Depository wishlist on your profile and have at least 5 books on it that cost $5 and under.

You will choose a book on that list to send to one partner. Be careful when completing the delivery/billing address - do not send the book to yourself!

There may be a small charge for tax depending on the country you send to but you shouldn't be spending more than $6.

Any questions let me know. If this swap proves popular I'll run it every two months.

Love the idea, but couldn´t we just have a look at the wishlists, buy the books somewhere else and send them ourselfs? I definitely want to join but there are lots of book-loving people with loong wishlists at other places. Why not include them, too? That wouldn´t be too big an inconvenience.

I use the Book Depository as they have free delivery and other sites do not. I find sending books cheaper this way (books are very expensive in Australia)and I don't want to find I have to pay postage on top of paying for a book if the Book Depository does not have that book (or if I buy from a book store). Its not that much trouble to have a book depository wishlist attached to your profile. Depending on how this swap goes perhaps I will adjust it.

I would totally join, but I don't have enough books on my wishlist under $5. Is there an easy way to find books under $5 on that site or do you just have to stumble upon them as you're browsing and get lucky?

I use the filter system along the top of the page. I choose a genre I enjoy and then choose lowest to highest in price It then sorts the books from cheapest to most expensive.

I love the idea of this swap and I agree Book Depository is usually the most affordable way to buy books in Australia (by a long shot!). I am not joining though due to having zero books under $5 on my wishlist :)
