I thought it would be fun to do a round robin letter along the lines of a travelling postcard but with a bit more text.

How it works:

If this is your first round:

Take one piece of paper (a5 or a4) Write the return address in the top right hand corner. Write an introduction - date, who you are, where you're from, what you're doing today, what you love. Write about a paragraph. Decorate the page if you like but remember people need space to write.

You then put the letter in an envelope and send it to your swap partner. I started with an a5 piece of paper.

If you've taken part before:

write a paragraph on the letter you have received before forwarding it on to the next person. Once your page is full it gets posted back to you.

If you have any questions please let me know.

Please do not join this swap if you can not commit to completing it. Round robin swaps rely on people partaking responsibly. No recent 3s or 1s. Newbies welcome with a well filled out profile.

If you decide not to continue with the swap please return the page you receive back to the original sender.

a5 or a4 paper is that like regular writing paper?

I've got the same question: Is this just a normal piece of writing paper that one takes out of a journal, etc, or can we use like a piece of paper from a printer/copier? Thanks for any input as I'd really like to do this swap!

A4 is 8.3 x 11.7 inches A5 is 5,8 x 8.3 inches

Regular writing and printer paper are both usually between these, so I'm guessing they'd be fine!

any sort of paper you like is fine. Just make sure there is enough space to write on and it's not so thin it falls apart. I am using printer paper but any standard writing paper would also be fine. a x

Bear with me, this would be my first traveling letter. As a newbie I'm going to write a letter with my return address in the corner and send to my swap partner.

I could potentially get a letter that has been written on my several people. If it is not full, what do I do with it?

aspeaker 07/ 6/2015 #

If I understand correctly, I'll hold on to that letter and write on it and send it off in the next traveling letter swap, correct?

Pandorapsych 07/ 7/2015 #

Already have my introduction written and ready to send. Lovely idea for a swap, reminds me of friendship sheets!

I haven't received #3 yet...

You say -- write a paragraph on the letter you have received before forwarding it on to the next person ...... Would this paragraph be responding to the paragraph above us, or, do we just write a paragraph about ourselves ?

bklynfinest77 07/ 8/2015 #

i'm really loving this idea .. but im a little confuse so you hold on to your letter until the next swap come around?

theaterfan23 07/10/2015 #

And do both sides of the paper get filled before it gets mailed back to the owner?

Beverly1962 07/12/2015 #

My opinion is BOTH sides should be written on so you have more to read. Thanks

spangleuk 07/13/2015 #

Both sides get written on @theaterfan23 and yes, you keep the letter you receive for the next swap @bklynfinest77 @slamophile - you write a paragraph to the person who's letter it is (the first person to write on the letter is the person it's from)

I'll be sending on Monique mb58ca's letter along to it's next stop.

cmalaina 07/29/2015 #

Ida Portjanow (Natze0407) I never received any thing from my partner at all so I would have to say I got flaked on

cmalaina 08/ 7/2015 #
