Description:

In this swap you make 1 or 2 A5 sized artjournal pages.

*Theme: AUTUMN *only decorate ONE SIDE of the page. The purpose of this swap is to get artjournal entries that you can glue in your own artjournal. You don't send a journal, just the pages *please embellish nicely.......paint, draw, glue, rubber stamp, stitch.....whatever you love doing!

You'll have only 1 partner so please make effort to do your best. NOT: a few words and a sticker!!

Give your partner a heart when they put effort in their pages. You can tell when it's done with love even if you personally don't really love it!! Be fair in this!

Please only join when you like to work on projects like this! This is not a really BIG swap, but if you have any doubts don't sign up as in this swap partners put something of themselves into their work............DO NOT FLAKE

Newbies or people with any rating issues can contact me first so I can see if this is a swap for you.

HAVE FUN!!

Oh, this sounds wonderful. I'd love to participate but I'll be on holiday right then which would leave me with only very few days to post the pages... :(

JennyTheArtist 10/24/2008 #

what measurements is "A5"???

vronica 10/24/2008 #

A5 is half an A4 paper. That will be 148x210 mm or 8.3x11.7 inch. But it doesn't have to be exactly this size. It's just a guide so we will get all aprox. the same size pages.

FarStarr 10/25/2008 #

Are you looking for pages that the partner can then use for journaling? Or finished pages??

sojourner 10/25/2008 #

Is this for 1 page or 2 pages

vronica 10/26/2008 #

FarStarr, the pages should be finished. I would like to add other peoples work to my journal without sending complete journals back and forth (postage!) so I thought it would be nice to just send finished/journaled pages to each other.

vronica 10/26/2008 #

Whisperwings, 1 page is fine (that will meet the swap rules) but A5 isn't that large, so when you draw, doodle, stamp a lot you might need 2 pages......or maybe you want to add a photo or a find or something that takes a bit more space.....it's up to the sender.

ellieelvis 10/26/2008 #

Do you just decorate the journal entry so the other person can write there journal entry on it or do you write what you did that day etc. like what you would if it was in your own journal ?? caz x

vronica 10/27/2008 #

ellieelvis, you write a complete artjournal entry, so your partner just has to glue it in her own artjournal........write as much as you want, decorate with anything you want(just as you do in your own artjournal)......it has to be a finished piece of work that you send

ellieelvis 10/27/2008 #

ok :)

ellieelvis 10/27/2008 #

Is it ok if i sign up as i am a newbie ? xx

If I do two pages and work only on ONE side of each page, can the two pages be opposites and facing you together or do you want them, say, on the 'front' side of each. (Each page with one blank and one side decorated) Am I making sense here?

vronica 10/29/2008 #

craftsgalore, you mean that the two pages 'belong' together? It's all up to you! Important is that one side of each A5 paper is left blank so you can glue it in an artjournal. Clear as mud?.....LOL

LMM 10/31/2008 #

So for those of us from the US, is an 8.5X11 journal page is acceptable?

LMM 10/31/2008 #

Oh, and craftsgalore...from your description do you mean making two pages, one a verso (left hand page) and one a recto (right hand page), that would be put into the journal facing each other?

vronica 11/ 1/2008 #

LMM, 8.5x11 is fine! I gave A5 size as a guide.....not to be exactly that size. Your verso/recto idea of two pages sounds great!

FarStarr 11/ 2/2008 #

Okay, now I'm confused...

A4 is comparable to 8 1/2 by 11 US. A5 is half that size so around 8 1/2 by 5 1/2 US, correct?

I was thinking we were doing the size of half an 8 1/2 by 11.

Yup, clear as mud...:)

sojourner 11/ 3/2008 #

Aussie A4 pages are 11 3/4 X 8 1/4 inches so my pages will be 1/2 that .
