On the outside I am a white haired granny but on the inside I feel young at heart and love the internet. I am Mum to 2 and gran to 8. I also have a stepdaughter and 3 step grandchildren. Throughout my life art and music have played a big part but recently I found out about mixed media, altered books, ATC's etc. and SWAPS and I absolutely love this type of art work.
My music interests are as varied as my crafts. Anything from pop, classical, rock, trad jazz, blue grass, country and easy listening to name some examples. When I have a few spare moments I like to play the keyboard, and accordion.
I just love crafts of all sorts from painting, patchwork, quilting, journalling, scrapbooking, paper crafts, ATC's, altered books. These all being my currents interests, in the past I have done glass engraving, egg decorating and also tried my hand at pottery, sculpting and stone carving.
I don't watch a lot of TV but occassionally I do like to watch things like, Strictly Come Dancing, costume dramas, some history and animal programmes.
Looking at the books on my book shelf you would find mostly craft books and books relating to art of some description. Non fiction books I like are books by Catherine Cookson and the like. The book I could read again and again is Gone With the Wind.
It has been many years since I went out to the cinema but with TV putting on so many films these days I can now pick and choose. I like the good old classic westerns and adventure films and, of course, Gone With the Wind, also Pretty Woman, Ghost, A Few Good Men, Captain Corelli's Mandolin.
I usually try to get any swaps sent ahead of the due date. Living a fair way away from the marjority of swappers I have to allow for delivery time. If you have not received my swap please let me know before you rate me - I will make it up to the best of my ability. Mail to the USA, Canada and Australia for instance will take at least 7 10 days.
