Geography Professor, Zoo volunteer, artist, community theater actress and avid reader. I have been married 20 years as of Oct 2009, currently am owned by a very large cat and collect elephants (I literally have hundreds). My kitchen is decorated with red vintage cooking gadgets. My bedroom suite is black lacquer. I was born in the Year of the Dragon and enjoy Asian motifs. I live in SoCal and also appreciate Day of the Dead and Frida Kahlo imagery.

Please do not send me anything with a religious or political theme and I will do the same for you :) I have no allergies to commonly swapped items. I generally find most "extras" uninspiring, so unless it is something profile specific or related to the swap, feel free to save your extras to send to someone else!

I spent May 2009 in Arkansas at Riddle's Elephant Sanctuary (see above link).

I won OrigamiGrace's ATC WTA game for February 2008 and enjoyed seeing my mailbox overflow! Thanks to everyone who participated!

Now that we can WATCH swaps, I have changed my methods slightly, but I still sign up for swaps I THINK I want to participate in, and hope to be inspired and start creating before the sign-up deadline. If that doesn't happen I often decide to drop at the last minute. I only give hearts based on the swap item itself, never for "extras". I always rate if the sender includes info as to which swap something is for and what their swap-bot name is.

I watched NO TV for 2 months (May-June 09) and have not returned to my old schedule. I still TiVo a ton of TV, but am much more selective about what I decide to actually watch...I still have season passes for The Riches, Top Chef, Miami & LA Ink, all 3 Law & Order shows, Project Runway, Rescue Me, Saving Grace, The Closer, Big Love, Weeds, Californication, Damages, House, Dexter, etc. I watch a lot of documentaries and shorts, too.

I mainly swap ATCs (inchies & handmade postcards too, if I am inspired by the theme). I did some recipe swaps early on with Swap-Bot, but lost interest in those. I sew and do fabric crafts (art quilts, etc) and enjoy fabric-craft oriented swaps, especially the Wish Flags and Goddess Dolls. Outside of Swap-Bot I do pine needle basketry and hard shell gourd crafts (musical instruments, especially). On a larger scale, I make body prints (like my avatar)--see the link above for more info on those.
