hi for this swap, you are required to doodle your own fabric, either with pens, embroidery, or anything else YOU use to doodle with. you can do both sides, or just one its up to you and your creativity....

usual dotee requirements apply -

i used calico and a sharpie in my pics.

Must have a rating of at least 4.8 with no no sends. if you dont meet these requirements, or are a newbie, and think you still should be allowed to participate please dont hesitate to ontact me and explain.

Niss, did you doodle the fabric first or after making the dotees???

i cut the shape first then doodled them, then assemble the dotee. but you can do it however you feel, remember you dont have to use a black pen, you can embroider, use coloured pens anything you like, just do a small test to see they dont run first!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This sounds like a lot of fun, but I've never made a dotee doll. Can they be any shape or size? Are there specific requirements when making one, except for the what is stated in the swap requirements? I'm very interested but need a little more information/guidance before joining this swap.

usually they around 3 inches + tall, they have a tail and hanger if you want to hang them. there are lots of examples of flickr, everyone has there own interpritation of a dotee doll, i think thats what makes these little darlings so special.

i used a sharpie and calico for all mine, but you could used anything as long as you do a little test and it doesn't run!

Im using a Sharpie, and ironed my fabric to freezer paper and it runs a little, how are all of you doing it???
