Here is cool technique for us to try...

This swap is 3 atc's to I partner, I have allowed plenty of time so everyone can do this one..

The technique can be done 2 slightly different ways, but you can use many different materials..

I hope everyone will post what materials they used, and how you did it, so we can all learn something new form each other..

The first way to do the technique is to take something you can see through and draw or trace an image on one side and then flip it over add color to the other side, making the colored side the back and the drawn side the front of your art..

Or for the other way is to take something you can see through, draw the image on one side and then to the same side add color on top of your drawing ..Flip it over and make the drawn/colored side the back side the back your art..

Either way, it is still a reverse art technique

Then make your atc from your reverse art

Example..the example above is my first try..I took wax paper and traced an image someone had make an atc of form Bernie Berlin's book I then traced the image one one side and on the same side I colored it in with a sharpie,, the only reason I did both steps on the same side is because the sharpie smeared too easy...

This example is just too get your imagination working..

is it to be hand drawn or can you use a stamp? and can you use acetate?

You may use anything as long as you do the reverse thing..Stamps work great..Glad you asked this..

I've done something similar - I used a silver line sticker as the image, then coloured the inside parts with markers which I tried to blend but it did not work well at all because it's not meant for slick surfaces. At first I thought it was a big flop, and as a final act of desperation I covered the coloured areas with Glossy Accent. Wow! Suddenly all the inks had something to cling to and it flowed together beautifully.

I forgot to say I used transparency as the base.

I would like to join too. I will be using tracing paper and colored pencils.

here is another ideal I used for this swap..I took a clear plastic sleeve that you put cards in..I cut down both sides leaving the bottom together so it would not slide so easy..I then took a sharpie and drew my image on one inside piece and on the back of the other piece I colored the image in with a sharpie.. when you put it all together you have a clear front then the drawn image in the middle and the colored part on the last piece..It work out pretty good...

I just finished mine and will be sending out today. I did reverse paper punch and reverse stamp. I am very pleased with the way they turned out.
