Description:

The Scattergories game can be a lot of fun, and I've adapted this one for email, and included some "timely" categories.

You'll have 2 partners and complete the list using words that start with each of your partner's Swap-bot user name's first initial.

For example, my user name is HappyMom, so if I'm your partner, you'll come up with words for each category using the letter "H". If my user name was 32Johnson, you'd use the letter "J" even though my ID starts with a number, since "J" is the first letter. Note-- if you happen to get a partner who's user name starts with a Q, X or Z, you may use the second letter! Answers must be in English please!

Note: If both of your partners' names start with the same initial, you may repeat your answers.

SEND EACH PARTNER HIS OR HER LIST SEPARATELY, VIA EMAIL, not Swap-bot PM or blog posts.

Swap is open to all with minimum 4.98 rating and no unresolved issues or late swaps on your dash. Newbies are welcome with detailed profiles completed. Prompt rating is required and much appreciated. I will angel any swaps not received and reserve the right to make exceptions on participation.

Here are the categories for the swap:

A book title (without "A" or "The") you'd like to read while staying home;

Something you'd like to eat at home but don't want to cook or prepare;

An activity you can do while staying home;

Something you'd like Amazon or other home delivery store to bring you;

Someplace you want to go when travel restrictions are lifted;

A poor excuse for not observing the quarantine;

A song you'd have on your quarantine playlist (without "A" or "The");

A word to describe how you're feeling today.

I hope you'll have some lighthearted fun with this! If you have any questions, please message me. And, if you love Scattergories like I do - check out the weekly postcard swaps I host. They're a lot of fun too.

Without A or The.... Do you mean drop these leads or must the book or song positively not start with A or The?

HappyMom 04/13/2020 #

@luckylynnl - thanks for the question :) This means that if you're looking for "O" words, you could use Stephen King's "The Outsider" as a book you'd like to read, since "Outsider" starts with "O" though it's preceded by "The".

My name is user6937 - can my partner use S?

zurdoswifey 04/18/2020 #

Because mine starts with Z followed by U ...you can skip to R or use my first name B if you want ...

HappyMom 04/18/2020 #

@Zurdoswifey @user6937 - "U" isn't an easy one, but it's do-able!

I'd say stick with "U" but if you and your partner are OK switching it up, I'm ok with that. The whole point is to have fun with it, within the guidelines!
